sounds like we will need a usb pass trough with a switch as well so we always have charged batteries when needed

Yup, my only concern with the Dura-C is the short battery life. I personally don't remember the original Dura having such a short battery life.

What can i say, my Dura-C is kickin some serious vaping butt right now. Yeah, one of my dura-c batteries was DOA, which sucked, i need to contact Jeff on this. My orginal Dura i had one battery die after i dripped on the atomizer, leaking into the battery. Ive tried a penstyle, dse901, and pilot and feel that the dura-c has the best over all vapor of all of em' . I've bought a Screwdriver and waiting to see how that fares. I bought four of them, one for me and the others for friends. So far all of my friends are very satisfied with theres. The vapor is just right, great flavor, super smooth inhale with a kick to the lungs, but not harsh in any way....just like the ol' analogs i used to smoke (camel lights). The carts leak...but so did the old duras, nothing new there. Best thing though is ive never had em leak in the mouth piece, just around where the cart connects to the atomizer. One thing i noticed with the old style dura was that after a month, the atomizer performace greatly diminishes. Ive still got my old battery and it still last 4-5 hours of use. The new ones are lasting about the same. Dont really care for the manual switch, i kind of miss the LED, and the simpilicity of just inhaling...mimiks a real cig IMHO....have also suffered a third degree burn from the manual being pressed while in my pocket....was bending over doing some gardening work and suddenly felt something warm in my jean pocket....didnt think much of it until moments later, after the warm sensation progressed to a firecracker hottness...I took it out of my pocket, and could barely hold on to the damn thing it was so hot. Amazininly it didnt kill the atomizer....just a warning for you that carry em that way...wear some flame retardant attire if you plan on going out with this thing..lol

Well, my first real complaint less than a week into this . . . one of my atomizers has seriously degraded performance. The atomizer gets nice a hot, but the vapor production just isn't much at all and there's no real "kick." I switched out the atomizer with the second one that came with the set (using the same battery and same cart as with the other), and life is good again.

Anyone else having atomizers not crap out completely but just offer degraded performance in such a short period of time?

Edited to add: I'm also finding with that poorly performing atomizer that I am consistently getting a small amount of liquid leaking into the top of the cartridge, even with a fresh battery. If you look at the cartridge, the top where you suck on the hole can be removed, revealing a small cavity with no stuffing in it, a barrier between the e-liquid and your mouth . . . that cavity is pooling eliquid, even with a fresh cart that hasn't been topped off or refilled.

i remove the inner baffle and let the liquid drain back into the atomizer. cuts down on the bubbling effect, and i've yet to suck liquid or have a leak through the outer opening.

Hi Julie, I had an atomizer from my first Dura go south after a few hours but Jeff is sending a replacement, it worked but I didn't know how poorly until I got the new ones, they make 10 times the vapor.Try putting a pinch of fiber cart stuffing in the cart reseviour to soak up the juice. I have not had any issues with this but I do open mine every few days and dry it out. maybe a little fiber will fix it. It could just be a leak in that cart or do all of your carts do it?

Mine is working well so far.
Love the amount of vapor from it.
The cart has been leaking a bit from the edge where it meets the atomizer, but it's tolerable - maybe seeping is more accurate.

    Hi Julie,

Yea, I Just Had (1) Of My New Dura-C Atomizers Go Dead (a few days old), it has an open circuit (no resistance via Ohms)!

I measured the atomizers for the heck of it when I got them brand new a few days ago, (1) was 2 Ohms & the other was (3) Ohms, this is too much of a variance. I did not mark the atomizers as I did the batteries to tell u which one went. But I'm sure the other atomizer will go bad as well due to the resistance I measured there QC is apparently not their.

Damn, I would of thought they would of been smart enough to beef up the atomizers with the new manual switch... They are looking for trouble like this.

I was so careful with my new Dura-C, I never went over about (4) seconds Depressed (After 5 secs you will risk cooking it to death).

I don't know if the new Dura-C's Atomizers were actual the original Atomizers (1st generation) or these are the new ones shipped with the Dura-C's (that were drawing to much power & burning out the batteries).

I think back to the drawing board for the Dura-C Atomizers...

Other issue is that the batteries are on the charger more then being used (short time).

Otherwise My Dura-C Was Working Great! Just my thoughts.

    Keep Vapin!

I have noticed some of my juice is thicker then others, maybe this is a juice thickness issue, have not got my dura-c yet, but hoping that is the issue
