<---- OK! I'm stepping up to receive my slap! I HAD done the research here. I wanted to purchase within the U.S. I chose Puresmoker based on the sentiments regarding this supplier from the members here. He is a well liked, reliable, active member. Also, the testimonial from Spikey. I don't know? I was allured. Maybe her website. However, Puresmoker had just began their move. March 8th. I went with Janty, based again on members' sentiment regarding Jeff, and Parked's video. I'm patient. but the last few days members are coming out of the woodwork with complaints about the company and their products. And poor Jeff has become a recluse. I went with the Dura C, 2 kits and various carts and juice. Go Ahead, then! Let me have it! |

OK jc....one cyber-slap for you! ![]() But really, the slaps should go to the "veterans" who recommended this. I don't expect newbs to know better...they take a lot of advice from those who have been here a while.....from those who should know better. Lu |

I'm not a newb, but I don't consider myself a veteran either. Don't know if I need a slap or not. I haven't tried a single ecig yet that didn't have it's own quirks and learning curve. Some worse than others. I did buy the Dura-Cs for a newbie based off recommendations here, but I never intended to just give them to her and say "Here ya go, have fun." Planned on using 1st, making sure all was well and then being available to train. I figured worse case scenario, the Duras go back to Janty and I mount some Dura carts on some 901s. No harm, no foul. I always tell people to start with the 901 or pen. They aren't necessarily better, they just have a lower learning curve, are more readily available and have been around long enough that issues are well known and addressable. I really like my pilot, but as a 1st ecig...a lot of people would give up. As to recommended suppliers, I haven't seen a single one who hasn't been having stock probs for at least the last month and it's bound to get worse rather than better for the immediate future. I honestly proffered the Janty pre-order option to the PS spend all day refreshing, mad rush, praying you get what you need. JMO. Would a few more updates from Janty have been nice, well of course, but if you think Janty has been so egregious, I have got a long list of little to big name non-ecig retailers you should avoid. Probably best to never order anything online at all. One order with Graveyard Mall would do you in. Or how about 6wks on a gift from Wal-Mart. Constant updates it's coming. Then one day "Sorry, not coming, refund within 12days." ![]() The only thing I'm really ticked at Janty about is the Dura-Cs not working with the PCC.

Ordered $80+ worth of e-juice over 13 days ago. No confirmation, no response, no answered emails. I since filed a PayPal dispute. Then my friend a few miles away orders e-juice from them and they ship it the same day. WTF? |

Thanks for the advice again SambucaLu. I should have listened but hopefully the Cs will be great. I hope one day to be able to give sound advice like you. Maybe after I have E-smoking for as long as you (4 months was it?) I can start training people. Take care and good vaping. |

That is a totally irresponsible reply. Dozens of people are complaining and the only response you give is the one regarding the complaint about impossible fulfillment and leads to an "unfair" perception from the consumers? Come on now. I ordered a Dura-C on 3/1/09. It's 18 days later and I haven't received it yet. I knew the Dura-C was on backorder...and I was okay with it. Jeff has been much slower to respond lately. And, I was told he was expecting a shipment on Monday of this week...it's Thursday, no ship notice. Now, I don't think it's Jeff's doing...I could be wrong, but I think Janty is not keeping up with supply and is not shipping product so it can make it through customs. I gave Cashmere from Puresmoker a rash of crap for the lack of stock. It's Janty's turn now. Janty charges a higher price...and for good reason. I have a KBC and I am happy with it. However, do you wonder why the MiniFogger and Dura sold strong...then slowed down? Apparently, it's because the product is getting worse. Now, Janty is no stranger to this type of issue...Janty had this problem before the KBC. And it's creeping back up on them. I won't buy any "non-control" model. So, that leaves Puresmoker out for me. The only company that I can buy from is the Janty line of product with the manual switch (hence my Dura-C purchase)...but I better start seeing some good responses before I *do* take my business elsewhere. Step up. Explain yourselves. And fix the problems that everybody is reporting. Don't hide in the dark and only respond when somebody shows that they actually took action. Step it up.

i've never dealt with janty at all so far.. the only product i've been interested in is the kissbox.. but at the price.. and with the backlogs and backorders... there is NO WAY i'm throwing that much cash to wait a month for my product to ship.. for the price i could just as easily find 2 801 starter kits and be vaping within a couple days... i'm REALLY not trying to be a douchebag.. but mayhaps you should stop doing the "preorder" thing... then people would be ordering and product shipped in a timely fashion.. or at least mayhaps a seperate section of the page so one KNOWS it's not in stock.. i understand the dura problem... hey.. excrement occurs eh?.. but keeping your CUSTOMERS (you know.. the people you make all that money from) informed and happy is the most important part of business

I had a real good thread in the other forum regarding PS's issues. At least, from Janty, I can order product and receive it when it comes with. With PS, I have to keep checking back and hoping it's in stock before I order. I proposed a happy medium with PS that would work. I advised how to setup a couple database tables for pending supplier orders and advising a customer when the product should arrive at PS's facility...and then letting the customer decide to order, etc. That's the same kind of system Janty needs to setup. It's called "Just In Time" and is part of "Lean Manufacturing" concepts. The goal is to have the supply chain fuel itself. Once you get such a system setup, your computer system can watch for trends and order as needed, without much human involvement. (Usually, the only human involvement is approvals of orders since you never want a computer to control your cashflow.) Cashmere appeared to receive the concept well. Unfortunately, his shopping cart program is proprietary code so it's not something he can easily get implemented. In the end...all suppliers have some issues....PureSmoker has actually shown excellent support at all times, even when they're getting their teeth kicked in. I just found the Janty response to be very...well, unprofessional and dodging.

double and triple cyberslap -- well done for demanding the answers, Janty used to have one of the most excellent reputations here, but it seems the last 3 or 4 products from them have been big flops........ many complaints about non functioning parts, or parts dying in hours or days of use...... I wonder if they are trying to rush too many new product onto the market without adaquate testing ....... 3 or 4 not too good ones up to now, and already 2 more promised very soon.......... before the problems of these ones are even fixed........ my advice to them ----- less products ----better quality........ Di .......... |
