    Default NJOY regular cartridges.

What is y'all's opinion of the NJOY cartridges that come with their starter kit, regarding their flavor?

I find them to be somewhat...well, terrible, actually. :-)

They have a kind of sickly sweet taste that doesn't taste like any cigarette I've ever had. It's bearable, and I'm getting more and more used to it, but I'm kinda hoping not all e-smoking flavors taste like this. I understand that e-smoking probably won't ever taste exactly like real smoking, but I'm hoping it can get closer than the regular NJOY cartridges.

On a related note, do you all have any recommended flavors for someone who used to smoke Camel Turkish Royals?

I always smoked Menthol, so can't really comment on tobacco flavors. But the Menthol that comes with Njoy is simply awful. So is the E-cig menthol, and the menthol that comes with every model I've tried yet. Except the Janty, and that's not menthol, it's mint.

WHich is the exact opposite of real cigarettes, where I never thought the menthol was strong enough.

See, menthol is not mint, it's just the active componant of mint, the part that causes that "cold burn" sensation. By itself, without the tobacco flavor, more isn't better. It's too strong, the cold burn is almost painful.

The Janty mint, otoh, is a sweet pepperminty taste. Very smooth, very pleasant.

So I'm sorry, I can't answer your question, Unc, but hopefully this'll help someone else.

I was a menthol smoker too, leaford. And I don't care for the Njoy menthol or the e-cig menthol for that matter. But when I mix it with another flavor, it's pretty good! Alone, I can't tolerate it. Tears me up.

The Janty one is pretty good, huh? I need to give their straight menthol a shot then.

Yep, it's yummy. :P Like those soft pink peppermint lozenges. The ones in the Brachs bins, or the 2/$1 bags. :P

The Njoy cartridges are the worst I have tasted. They don't seem to have any flavour to speak of and need improving with a few drops of liquid. Shame really because they are not keeping up with the more innovative suppliers. :o

    Thanks for the advice.

I should have some vanilla bean cartridges from Crown7 waiting for me on my doorstep when I get home this evening. Has anyone tried those? I read somewhere that the Crown7 cartridges fit the NJOY, which I hope is true, otherwise I'm out about $20.

Apparently, I don't like the taste of hookah smoke. Both my older brother and a friend of mine said that the NJOY, with the regular cartridges, reminds them of the taste of hookah smoke.

    Question:
I was never what I would consider a high volume smoker, so my initial thought was that I'd stick with the lower nicotine cartridges. The problem is, one of the things I most enjoyed about smoking was that initial, first-thing-in-the-morning hit of nicotine that was very powerful, especially if I'd gone awhile without smoking at all. With e-smoking (which I shall henceforth refer to as Diet Smoke ), I don't seem to be getting anything even close to that, even with the high nicotine cartridge I got in my starter kit from NJOY. Sure, after about 20 minutes or so of puffing, I can start to feel that familiar nicotine calm wash over me, but I really do miss that initial hit. So my question is, does the "hit" of nicotine vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, or are all the cartridges about the same? If there is a difference, which cartridges have given you the biggest nicotine punch?

    Thanks for your help.

Crown 7 cartridges do not fit Njoy properly, but your not totally out of $20.00 you can squeeze the fluid out of your cartridges and refill your old Njoy cartridges or dip/dry smoke. Check these posts for more information:

    Hi Meltrex,
I was just getting ready to add my 2 cents on the topic of cartridges before I saw your post.

I find the cartridges sold by Meltrex are far superior to NJoy's. And it's not for the taste or lack of that I say that. I find Meltrex's cartridges produce a significant more amount of vapor. I'd settle for any taste for more vapor. Of course I do have a favorite - vanilla.
