Here in my country it's easy to find it at "baby" shops, inbetween the biberons, plastic bites, pacifiers... that kind of stuff. I think the idea behind it it's to wash your toddler the "natural" way. Give it a shot, but i personally think that sea sponge will retain the liquid too much.

I don't know about the memory foam, but 100% polyester sponges are everywhere. They hold 20+ times their weight. I have wanted to try one for some time now, but have been using poly batting.
Has anyone tried a polyester sponge?

best I found
the best I have found so far is
a slice of the polyester scrubbers for dishes,
the ones that are like a small sheet about
4 inchess wide and 6 inches long and just 1/4 inch thick.
I just cut a thin slice off the end
and stuck it in the cart, trimmed it off
filled it up and it vaped great.......
my new cart filler.....

If you call or email tempurpedic and ask for one of the information packs it comes with a sample of the memory foam. http://www.tempurpedic.com/promos/free_information_kit/
But if I were you I would at least soak the foam in rubbing alcohol and then let it sit in some boiling water before you go and potentially inhale dangerous chemicals. I don't even know if the alcohol and boiling water would even do anything, but it's better then doing nothing. I would call them and ask if their foam is treated with any chemicals.
