Default QUESTION about my mini pipe

Hello all, I recently purchased a mini pipe and am having some problems. When I first got it, it worked just fine; however, I boxed it up for a few weeks and didn't use it at all. Last night when I got it back out to use it again I encountered a strange problem. When I put the battery in and close the top, the red light blinks a few times then stops, then, when I try and take a puff, it blinks some more, no vapor. And every time that I attempt to take a draw it just continues to blink, NO VAPOR....this is getting quite frustrating...anyone have any ideas on why this could be happening? I would greatly appreciate any advice...thanks!

I don't have a pipe but it sounds like your batter drained while you wern't using it. Charge it up.
Oh, and when I become rich I will have one of those Bugatti Veyrons! I only have another $1,198,000 to save and I'll have it!

I assumed that was the problem as well; however, when I put my battery on the charger, it remains green, I'm charging the second battery as we speak...I'm hoping that solves the problem.

When I put the battery that I am currently charging in the mini pipe, nothing happens at all...I would assume that it should work with even a little bit of a charge, but so far that isn't the case....strange

    Hi Rob -

The only thing I can think of - and this may be very obvious, but are you sure you have put the battery in the right way?

I only suggest this, because the batteries don't have clear indications of which is the positive/negative end.

I tested this theory (do not attempt!!) out by putting it in the wrong way and the light will still likely come on, but little to know vapour will appear.

By doing this, you are more than likely to short circuit the pipe and ruin the switch so make sure you have placed the battery in the intended way!

Thanks smokin, I'm pretty sure I've put it in the right way. I put it into the pipe the same way that I put it into the charger. + side up...I still find it to be ridiculous that they couldn't throw a little + and - on the battery itself...I mean Come ON! lol....thanks for the heads up on shorting out the pipe!

No problem Rob.... actually the latest batch of batteries seem to be getting some info printed on them now ie. voltage, model etc - I'm pretty sure they had the +/- signs on now as well but haven't got any to hand...

EDIT: The positive end of the battery is the slightly raised button surrounded by a white tape and the button has three holes in it. This goes at the top.

Rob, I have two mini pipes.
One of them has the same problem.

It flickers when I pick it up, so you can't take a puff.

I talked to some other people, they suggested that the battery is too loose.
In other words the lid is too high for the battery to fit snug.
The other thing is that when I pop the lid off, the battery seems to be stuck in the pipe.

I tried to put a piece of tape around the pipe, top under to bottom.
    That solved the problem.
It's a little of a pain, because when the battery is empty, you have to take the tape off.

I also tried to bend the little silver hooks on the side at the top of the pipe.
    That did not work either.

That sounds exactly like the problem I'm having....battery definitely gets stuck in there! I appreciate your insight and will give your tape idea a try for sure...We'll see what happens! Thanks again!
