i dont think the odd burnt taste is anything to do with the odd fibre getting near the atomizer.. the little heater coil things can beak down.. i think its the coil itself that causes the odd burnt taste.. i think a bigger heater coil in a pipe dosnt get quite as hot as a tiny one in a mini.. logic tell me they should last longer as well.. but i am still putting that to the test.. my big smoke producing minis have a more a harsher (burnt) taste than my pipes do. i put this down to the more localized (intense) heat in the little mini atomizer compared to the much bigger pipe one.. i tend to favour the bigger devices.. i also dont believe what most salemen tell me.. ![]() dont take all i my conclusion as gospel.. i am still figgering the things out.. they do seem to have mind of their own and sometimes defy logic.. one thing i am sure of.. they all differ as to how much smoke they produce .. how they taste with the same liquid and how long they last.. the "wool" cart.. metal gauze.. little wire wound heater coil technology aint quite there yet.. it works.. but not precisely.. trog |

Interesting. I burned both E-Cig cartridge core fiber AND an equal amount of polyester aquarium fiber bought at a local pet store. I think it was a Dutch forum poster who first suggested the aquarium fiber could substitute for the fiber in cores. I bought some -- a small bag will last a lifetime. Anyhow, I set them side by side and set fire to both. Both burned the same; both left the same little pile of hot, gooey mess and cooled to a small lump of plastic. If these aren't exactly the same, then they're twins separated at birth. Course, I have no idea what Ruyan uses because I've never been able to afford their products. Maybe some day. |

i do wonder if the cheapy e-cigs are any shoddier than the full-price deals. as their carts are so cheap, maybe they are substituting bad and harmful materials to make their items cheaper. i do wonder if i am inhaling a bunch of gic. its so easy for a strand of that fibre to fall out and hit the fliment. i wish it was kept in the cartridge more firmly. http://firstunion.en.alibaba.com/column/200047020.html is a list of "certificates" aparently granted to the factory that makes all the models that have numbers like the rn4072 etc. they are kind of useless though cause you cant even really read them. whats weird is that the rn4072 which i have gives out such good amount of vapour. why can the more expensive ones manage only a whisp. it might be because the safety of them is compromised.

well as i understand it,cigarette manufacturers in recent years have never claimed their products were actually safe...they denied they were unsafe to avoid the lawyers-of course even an idiot knows they are full of toxins...e-smoking is claimed to be,and marketed as,a safe/safer alternative to smoking by most manufacturers of these products.ok,safer...but exactly what risks am i exposing myself to?do we trust the manufacturers of these products in their mysterious chinese(or wherever?) factories?im not so sure myself...ive often wondered what the cores were made of,and if they'd ever been safety tested to an acceptable degree.we need to know.
