i use silicone tubing quite lot.. u can literally put a flame to it and watch it glow red hot.. its dosnt melt simples crumbles away..
the stuff in all the carts (not ruyan) i have certainly aint silicone.. being as most of us are none ruyan users for obvious reasons we can assume its not stuff that dosnt melt or burn.. we know it does..
but i have never had any show signs of melting or burning or shrinking unless it get prodded or packed down.. something thats very easy to do..
sometime certain atomizers send the end of the wool blackish.. this discoloration has to come up (leech) from the wire gauze surrounding the pot.. its seems more common with the the dse901 mini atomizers i have..
one thing i am sure of.. the little mini atomizers that produce lots of smoke are more likely to burn things than the bigger classic or pipe ones.. the heat needed to generate xxx amount of smoke all being contained in a much smaller area must mean higher heater coil (or localized) temps..
i still think bigger is better but the world dosnt so smaller they get..

wonder if boiling an atomizer would damage it

Why do you want to boil your aromizer?
Want to clean it?
That's simple,
Run it under hot water, put little dishwash liquid in there, rinse out really good.
Shake the water out, and dry it with a hairdryer.
Wait for about 30 min, and the atomizer will be as new.
I do it maybe every 3 days.
Works like a charm.

Take your time to read it..or maybe you have seen it before??
Hope it is what you want TB....

It´s just an analysis of chemicals and risk of infections. Not a single word about impact on health
From this report I take "A scan of the vapourised mist from the ecigarette is required to check what else has been vapourised." I'm a complete ignorant in terms of chemical reactions but an ignition means a change in its composition. In other words, I care about what I'm actually inhaling not the liquid itself.

Then ithere are some "high level" scientific conclusions that makes me wonder if it's written by unbiased doctors...

.. that we know of. What we don't know could fill a library. As has been said many times, the jury is very much still out on this practice.

Re: Manufacturers/Suppliers: What's in your cartridges?
very true bob but i know my bronchial bits and bobs said a good honest thank you to me when i made the swop.. but yesterday i felt a little sick with an odd unfamiliar stomache ache..
i put down my e pipe and went back to rolls ups for the rest of the day.. they now taste pretty bad and oddly enough the e pipe tastes better.. the sick feeling passed probably nothing to do with my e pipe.. but my suspicions are there..
it really needs some time to pass before the real truth will be known.. years i think.. the data needs to be gathered from long term e smokers.. i see no other valid way of doing it.. we are the lab rats.. its us the results will come from..
the other thing i noted was my dry throat never went away after a few none e smoke hours.. real cigs now taste awful.. are my taste buds growing back.. he he
trog
ps.. i thought (assumed) my nasty cough was down to long term permanent damage.. it seems it wasnt.. it was down to the daily irritation of too many roll-ups.. a good thought to be honest..

so the atomizer survived boiling, except for some of the paint on the outside. Regardless, it didn't smoke any better afterwards. Just figured i'd let you all know.
