Default Iatty Top Cap and SS Mouthpiece

I'm looking for some suggestions to get my Iatty SS mouthpiece to screw on the top cap, it only screws on about half way, and I've tried two ss mouthpieces so I'm pretty sure it's the cap threading. It seems to hit a little rough patch when screwing in, gets through it, then just stops. The Delrin piece screws in flawlessly. I've tried everything I could think of or find short of breaking out some tools, don't wanna ruin it. Anyone think boiling one piece and freezing the other might work? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

the best suggestion for now is to screw it and unscrew it several times bacc. Every time you will try to screw it a little more. Tell me your results please

OK, Thanks Imeo. I'll give it another try screwing and unscrewing with some vaseline on the threads. I thought I gave it all my might before, so we'll see what happens. Do you think it would hurt the threads if i got a little help from a wrench or pliers?

    Hi bacc.vap,

follow Imeo's advice, screw and unscrew it.

Also do not use wrench or pliers (yo do not want to scratch your precious mouthpiece or iAtty top cap), buy a pair of hand palm rubberized gardener gloves for the screw / unscrew task and do not use any lubricant on the threads, eventyally the mouthpiece will fit, just be patience and take your time.

Check this threads (no the same piece but the same procedure):

Stealth Brass Rethreader Ring not compatible with Stealh SS cap?

Ody Expansion set: atty insert insulator won't screw

lubricant will help ariel. And if threads are going to stuck the lubricant will prevent this
