    Breaking In: Definitely required

    Set Up
Using the VVN on the Joye eGo 18650 mod and the Janty Neo with Kuwako – so both 3.3v regulated.

    The Vape
2.4 Ohm it came with Liqua French Pipe (mainly PG I think)

Vapour Production: Good – especially for the 2nd tank
Flavour: Muted to Start – better into the 2nd tank
Throat Hit: OK to start and again got better
Texture: Good – considering PG juice
Wicking: No dry hits and can hot the Neo’s cut off!
    Gurgling: None so far

1st Tank with the 1.8 Ohm
    Vapour Production: Clouds of Vapour
Flavour: muted but OK – nice on the exhale
TH: Had to stop as my throat was getting sore – so Good
    Texture: Thicker but harsher
Wicking: Again no dry hits – can hit the cut off
    Gurgling: None!

    Shape of the Vape:
So far I’ve preferred the 2.4
Better with M+P’s Praze (35/65 PG/VG) but switched to Liqua French Pipe as was running short of Praze

Think this will get better as it goes along – happy but can see me being happier!

    Waffle
Following advice on ECF – I used a blow torch lighter to flame the wicks, and then raised the silicon cup and dry burned the coils for a count of 6 – wait 20 – another burn of 6 – half a dozen times before filling the tank from the juice bottle.

    2.4 Ohm
Started off using M+P’s Praze (35/65 PG/VG) because I know the juice very well and it has a strong flavour. I cleaned it and then filled with Liqua French Pipe for the 2nd fill as this is slightly more subtle.

The VP was good from the off, no complaints. The Flavour began quite mute, but got better as the 1st tank was used up.

The 2nd tank proved better, in Flavour, TH and Vapour production, tho flavour still not as good as a Stardust – this may improve with use but wanted to try the 1.8 so cleaned the Tank, coil (and dry burned) and moved on.

    1.8 Ohm
The TH I got from this straight away made me put it down – not the biggest fan of a sore throat! This calmed down today as I’ve gone through the tank – but still only half way through the 1st

Vapour Production has been very good, and though the Flavour is a bit muted on the Inhale, is definitely there, if less than a Stardust again, on the exhale.

Again it has improved as it’s broken in – but the TH is a bit too much for me to really enjoy this on a regular basis.

    Summary
    Cons:
It would seem that Preparing the VVN before use is beneficial – so not necessarily a ‘Straight out of the box’ Miser.

Breaking in is going to take a Tank or 2 for it to be at it’s best – or so it seems.

Flavour is muted to begin with – tho this has been improving and may yet prove to be as good as a Stardust – but still to be seen.

Some folk have reported that the centre post stands up too high to rest flush on their mods – I haven’t had this but might be an issue for some without filing/sanding it down!

    Pros:
Wicking has been Very Good – with no Dry Hits – even taking a 12 second draw to the Neo’s cut off.

No Gurgling – turned upside down – vaped on its side and none at all so far.

Takes most 510 Drip Tips – so not restricted to the one provided

Strong (for me) TH with the 1.8 Ohm head

    Good Vapour Production

The VVN could be the cheapest rebuildable Tank atty available – especially with the metal tubes when they become available. Even if not into DIY the replacement heads are being ‘advertised at less than 2 quid on GV’s site. So this could be a real option for folks to use and replace only the heads.

I’m liking this Tank Miser and only moved onto the 1.8 head to give a quick 1st Impression – still to try the 2.8 and see what It vapes like at higher V/W’s.

I did pop both coils on a kicked Bolt at 5W with no problems – just staying with the eGo range to break them in!

    Value For Money:
Having tried the Vision Stones (for which the Tank and at least top cap are compatible with the VVN) and been happy with VP and Flavour but put off with the Gurgles – the VVN is showing great promise. With its 3 coils it’s looking like excellent value - especially with the metal tubes and replacement heads due and Folk have reported that it’s recoilable!

I’m going to switch back to the 2.4 Ohm to see if it’s as good as it gets or whether it continues to improve.

So far Very Happy with my purchase form Daz and looking forward to the 2 due later this week from Gotvapes + the new Phoenix 1.8 and 3ml!

    Verdict do Far?
Worth a punt – but best with some ‘Tweaking’

2.4 Ohm re-installed and running nest to a Stardust with the same juice. Halfway through it's 3rd tank and the Flavour is getting closer - tho the Stardust is still better. Using Liqua French pipe so quite subtle - the VVN is slowly getting better!

On 1st tank with the 2.8 Ohm - flamed the wicks and dry burned the coil half a dozen times.
Filled with Liqua Traditional Tobacco - and
Best Flavour out of the box - great VP and TH - easily comparable to a broken in Stardust!
If this gets better as it breaks in then this alone is worth the Bucks!

Hey Barefoot, what voltage are you running the 2.8 at? I prefer my vape to be warm (bordering on hot, like an analog) and I'm wondering when you switch resistance coils if you also switched voltages (otherwise they "should" get "cooler" as the resistance goes up if the voltage stays the same)? Thanks!

Best review EVER Mastiff - posted on UK Vapers
Using on a Janty Neo Classic battery with Kuwako mostly so 3.3v ish.
Popped it on a 'Kicked' Bolt and 7W good for me - nice flavour and Clouds of Vapour - so about 4.4v's
at 8W the flavour diminished slightly but maybe more to thy tastes.
5v's and flavour reduction and slightly 'Burney' for me so wasn't worth it!

Just as an update - the VVN v2 - is a big improvement in just about all ways over the v1 - out of the box at least.
The base has no 'spikes' on the centre post - so connects easier to all my PV's - without wobble.
The heads have much improved flavour and seem to need minimal/less 'breaking in'
So a much more enjoyable Vaping Experience - Highly recommended
