I get withdrawal when I only have the minis to vape on and have to do it surreptitiously. When I then light up an analogue it makes me dizzy!

When you feel that way it's a good idea to take a break from vaping or change to a low-strength juice. Nicotine is a poison, after all.

Exylis, I assume you were a smoker and haven't just started vaping after a long abstinence? If it's to do with the nicotine, the symptoms should abate, but some people can't deal with the PG (which is why Johnson's Creek do a non-PG version of their juice).

Please check with your doctor about it. Anything could be going on. Those symptoms are on almost every drug warning fine print.

I have had this a few times, its only happened when I've been drinking way way to much tea, diet cola and having to much nicotine. The only way I can describe it is feeling like your a bit distant in the brain, if that makes any sence. its not really that pleasant so I try not to have to much caffeine.

Default I have a theory. . .

I have this feeling too (I described it somewhere as feeling stoned) even with low/no nic vaping. That's part of why I haven't made the transition from analogs 100% yet. VG has better results than PG for me, so I'm working on a mix that will work. Its also not withdrawal since I havent given up analogs yet.

Anyway, I was wondering if maybe for people who have smoked habitually for a long time, our brains or bodies release something chemical (don't know what) as a conditioned response to the smoking-like behavior of vaping. Then our body doesn't get exactly what it was preparing for so it leaves a spacey feeling. Like a placebo effect. Is this a stupid idea?

I experienced this weird feeling when I first started vaping. My first device was an e-cigar, and the spacey feeling only happened on the first day of use. I spent the whole afternoon and evening feeling kind of out-of-body.

I don't get that feeling anymore. I kind of think it was a reaction to whatever was in the primer of that atomizer of that e-cigar.

I have been vaping for a couple of months now and have not felt that way since.

Sometimes, when I am vaping too heavily, I get sweaty palms or insomnia, but those are the only side-effects I notice now.

The only time I've had this is when I've given up smoking (cold turkey), I've always put it down to nicotine withdrawal. It's always gotten worse the longer I've been off the cigarettes - maximum a few weeks whereupon I've given up feeling "unreal" and gone back to smoking.

Haven't had it this time with the e-cigs which confirms to my mind that it is the nicotine (or lack thereof). I've only heard of one other person who has these weird side effects from quitting smoking/nicotine. Most people go back to cigarettes because of the cravings but with me not feeling in control [an illusion, I know].

I find nicotine overdose is quite different - lots of energy; too hyper.

I'm feeling the same exact spaciness. Yesterday was my first day vaping. I was fine, until this morning when I woke up with tightness in my chest. Then I tried eliminating some things - menthol xtals & flavorings. Tightness loosened up for a bit then came back when I vaped again a few times. Spaciness like you wouldn't believe. I haven't vaped since about noon, and it's 10pm now. I can't shake myself out of it.

I was just wondering, what type of PG are you all using - are you diluting? I bought what I thought was USP, but now I find out it's feed grade. It said 100% PG, but the bottle does not say USP. I wonder if it's any impurities that are making me feel this way. I just ordered USP VG & PG to see if either make a difference, and am going to try a different brand ejuice.

Also, what brand ejuice are you using, and what are you all using & what additions are you putting in it? Just wondering if there is a common denominator here. Different brands of ejuice seem to have different ingredients. Seems we are part of a small segment that are feeling this way.

Quitting/too little nicotine never made me feel this way. I know it's definately not excess nicotine. I was using 8mg ejuice. And initially smoking an anolog made me feel better. Now it's not helping at all. I've smoked about 5 now.

And when I was vaping, it was like once an hour, as opposed to when I smoked which was like every 10 min. So I wasn't over-vaping either.

I feel stoned! Don't like feeling this way. Hopefully it'll all go away by morning!

I'm also a little suspicious of the primer fluid. I was getting alot of fluid thru the mouthpiece, until I figured out how to use it properly. And the primer fluid vapor was quite a bit different tasting than the ejuice. I tasted that for a good 5 hrs. For now on I am rinsing with hot water & blowing on the atomizer before using a new one.

I felt like that the first day I started vaping too but after I upped my dose to 36mg (from 18mg) I felt better. I usually get that way when I'm craving nicotine so maybe it isn't enough? try puffing the heavier stuff for maybe one ciggie worth and then going back to the lower dose. Everyone is different though so it might be something else?

I've been vaping for a little over a month and some days I get the spaced out feeling too. (Though I wouldn't refer to is being high - being high is much better ) It's not a good feeling at all. I feel groggy, like my mind is far away- and its harder to focus. I just don't know what it is though. I don't think its the PG. I have no reaction like burning in my throat that would lead me to believe its the PG. Though I really don't know for sure. I don't think it's nicotine withdrawal either because it doesn't go away even after I vape for a little while. Whatever it is... it's kind of frustrating and I wish it would stop. If anyone experienced the same thing and figured out how to stop it that would be awesome. I really don't like the feeling at all...but I refuse to go back to smoking analogs.... it's a real Catch 22.
