I've been vaping now for about a month or so and I had a sore throat for about the 1st week but haven't had any problems since... I don't know if it's true but I was told that 1 of the reasons for this is that reg. cig. have a lot of chemicals in them that numb your throat and once you are off them you notice the soreness and then it usually goes away about a week after vaping???

I smoked a pack and a half of "analogs" over the course of the day/night and I have a mild sore throat.
I having been reading on this website for a week. I was impressed with the majority of the posts. I ordered the Janty Dura-C
I sure hope I like it, as much as I spent on juices, usb passthrough, ect.
I'm not too worried about the sore throat, as I said I have one now from smoking regular cigarettes.

After reading about sore throats, at first I thought mine was more or less normal: it started a week after starting to vape. Sore throat for 2 days, then the "flu-like" symptoms hit- sinus pressure, sinus drainage, coughing up huge chunks of fairly nasty looking phlegm, headache. Those symptoms went away after about five days, though, and I'm left with this killer sore throat.

This is not a tickle, or a scratch, or a dry throat. This is huge glands and an intesely painful swallowing procedure. There is no "better" time of day, be it night, morning, or afternoon- it's all bad. It isn't mild when I wake up. It isn't mild when I go to bed. It's all bad, all the time, even when I change vaping liquids, stop vaping, or try to gargle various substances. Mu uvula laughs at my pitiful attempts to coat it with sprays, and my tonsils artfully dodge lozenges and strips.

It's been 15 days of hell. The strep screen was negative. I have no other symptoms that require a doctor, according to the advice nurse... no fever, headache, sinus problems, fatigue, wheezing or respitory problems, cough, weight loss (god, dont I wish), lumps on neck, spots, or patches. Just some slight ear tenderness.

Have some codeine syrup and call back in another week if it's not better, she says.

What's wrong with me? Is it the vaping? Not the vaping? I ordered some VG... when I switch, how soon should I look for the throat thing to go away? Please help- I could really use some hope right about now.

Interesting. I have a sore throat on and off. I do add Lorann's about 30% of the time. I will try not using it and see what happens.
I also think I take the Lorann's included e-juice to work with me and if I let someone try my PV, they cough. Hmmm

I get a sore throat after vaping med-low (12mg) nic juice, but none on low to non nic juice (8 and under). I also noticed I'm thirsty alot, probably a good thing since I have always had a dehydration problem because I usually don't notice when I'm thirsty now I just drink lots of lemonade and flavored water.

I just started vaping this past weekend and I had a sore throat for about 2 days. Today I haven't had a problem. But the first 2 days I was also vaping the high nicotine carts. Today I am on the mediums and no problems. Also today is the day with no analogs at all.

Update on my "severe sore throat"... my doctor said it's a virus that's just being more stubborn than usual. Possibly because I quit the analogs, and my body is shoveling out toxins, so my immune system's overtaxed. (An eight-year-old surgery scar re-opened, too, apparently all by itself.)

Never so happy to be diagnosed as sick in all my life.

    Yipppee!
