Well guys, unless I'm reading all these posts wrong, the general sense of what folks are saying on this thread is positive about the transition to vaping.
Now for a bacon sandwich!

I second the bacon sandwich, since everything is killing me, according to one expert or another expert.
I have been vaping since June 2008 and HAVE NOT die or sufficated YET. My health is better and my blood pressure is now to 112/76 and I am not a young woman and use to have high BP.

It's wonderful, btw, to smell the bacon cooking and realise the apartment is gonna reek of it all evening, to taste the coffee and wish I'd bought a better blend, to appreciate to the full the fumes from passing lorries....and so on...just a little tribute to the post-analog existence.

Hello - I'm new to this and scared to death. Smoke two packs a day and have to quit. I bought an Ecig from England with cartridges. I don't know if anyone has tried these - you have to suck real hard and the vapor is not pleasant. Does anyone know if you can refill these cartridges? Also, the battery doesn't last long.
Also, how often is it safe to smoke these things? Also, I know there is an e cig out there that you can dial up and dial down the strength of the nicotine. Isn't nicotine poison and if you get too much of it - it's deadly.
Please help - I'm so confused.

Sorry you are so confused dont be, read the posts and get familiar with everything and anything you can, especially if you are putting it into your body
If you smoked for all those yrs, you have been getting plenty of nicotine in your body for a while now, plus all the other crap inside analogs
The ecig you heard of, dial up down and all around I do not know of, never, but that means nothing
As far as nicotine, it has some good to it as well
You need to become as knowledgeable as possible, then you will not be scared to death
good luck

I see some people claiming strange and seemingly unrelated side effects to vaping.
The effects I have had have been very positive. Although the "dryness" feeling in the lungs is lightly present.
Anyways, I just think that the beneficial effects of vaping over smoking arent being reported in this thread as much as they should.
The thread is called "Effect on the lungs". Now I think there should be a TON of major positive things being said in here regarding the effects of not inhaling actual smoke...but a mist.
Ive also noticed that people that are having some sort of "side effect", are either on way to high mg of nicotine, or are vaping more than they smoked... correct me if im wrong.

Skymonkey it is really hard to tell, nicotine withdrwal is similar to OD, and everyone is different. Smoking helps with anxiety/stress because tobacco has Harmine in it. Anxiety/stress causes dry mouth etc.

After more than 30 years of smoking I couldn't realistically expect my lungs to start functioning much better but there is little doubt that after 5 months of vaping they are... I have just come home from a walk to my local beach which is at the bottom of a cliff and normally on the way back I have to stop for a good few minutes at a handrail about 3/4 of the way up the cliff to catch my breath and let my heart stop pounding but although I stopped there today I know it would have been possible to have made it to the top.

I think that the placebo factor on this forum runs very high. For both the positive responses towards E-smoking as well as the negatives and side effects. I mean u get people who are like I quit smoking for five days now and i can climb mount Everest. while u get others who think vaping is causing their withdrawal effects.
