Interesting comment left on one of my e-Juice reviews... in Health and Medical Issues; No, sorry but you will have to go cold turkey.
Honestly I am pre diabetic so I would be interested ...

As if we don't have enough to worry about already. Geesh. I do remember the thread. Don't remember it being in a video. I kind of wondered about it, but after smoking analogs for 36 years it's all mute now anyway. LOL Seriously though, someone should just ask an endrinconologist (sp?). One person sacrificing ecigs and bloody fingers does not constitute an accurate answer.

No! No analogs...Can't we have you try flavorless or coffee flavors first? Wouldn't just tobacco flavors work as well? What other flavors than coffee exist that are not sugar related?
I just saw this on How valid are vaping health claims?
a post from HappyGirl "One other point on the glycol....what about diabetics....could this throw off their sugar readings if the body is burning this as sugar?"
I don't know what she is talking about but it caught my eye. The basic search I did only showed a problem with ethylene glycol which is PEG?
A bit off topic but since I found it it my search...

How does Cinnamon Affect Blood Sugar Levels?
Recent news articles talk about the benefits of cinnamon for diabetics and people with blood sugar imbalances. Although it may not help all people, just a ¼ teaspoon twice per day can make a difference for many. In a 2003 study, the U.S. Department of Agriculture found that taking 1 gram (less than ½ teaspoon) of cinnamon over 40 days reduced cholesterol levels by 12–26%, triglyceride levels by 23–30%, and blood sugar levels by 18–29%. When the research subjects took more than 1 gram they did not see any added improvement, and the good results were maintained for at least 20 days after the study ended.
okay...my earlier post was delayed in showing so I did this one but I did find out new stuff so it is all good.

If anything, I would think the brain would trigger the release of insulin and possibly digestive acids/enzymes in response to the taste.

From what I have read, Nicotine either:
A. Causes the body to release Glucose due the triggering of the fight or flight mechanism.
B. Inhibits insulin production, resulting in excess Glucose in the blood.
Both situations result in Hyperglycemia.
So the sweet flavors, to me, are not the issue.

Yeah but it was worth to anything.

As far as I know, and I only know from reading Capellas site and LorAnns, but to my knowledge they are sweetener free flavorings...If they contained sugar, wouldnt the sugar carmalize, smell awful and leave a very quickly noticeable sludge in our attys? Glycol, glycerin, vg, however is a natural sweetener (hence-used in candy making bc it "carries" the flavor)but its steamed, so to say, not burned so I imagine (and Im NO scientist, lol) it wouldnt be enuff converted in a sugar content that would even trace if it were tested. BUT- thats just what I think.....It will be interesting to see this theory tested-I believe theres only like 1 or 2 calories in ingestable vg per ml, and if ingested, no heating process so none is lost in the vapor, inhaled or exhaled, nor diluted with flavor/water, completely absorbed into the body, that it would still only tack on a few extra calories a day....Hmm....something for a diabetic to monitor for us if they use VG and see if they see any changes in their blood, .......

anyone have any ideas , i know that Tobacco does not trigger the brain to release glucose into the blood stream , rather it triggers the brain to release dopamine
so according to this guy , vaping on sweet flavored liquids like watermelon or chocolate will make us all diabetics ?
Unless the comment came from an MD or Ph.D, I would ignore it. Cliff Clavens are everywhere and know everything.

This is all nonsensical nonsense! Everyone knows if you vape something sweet you will simply be popping pimples like a schoolboy for teh redt of ur lives!!!
On a serious note however, I do not have diabetes so I cannot say anything about BS levels... well Blood Sugar levels anyway. I do know that after 2 years and counting I have had no negative effects I can find, and several positive ones.
Take care all!!
