Question Nausea -- nic withdrawal, or PV chemicals?

I love my NCIG and never want to be without it. Indeed, I've ordered a couple other models from a couple other suppliers just to diversify and compare, but I do know for certain, after vaping for about a month now, that I never want to be without it.

I was a pack+ smoker for over 30 years. Only tried once or twice to quit, but never lasted more than 3 months (to please an ex-husband), and was currently not even considering it. Whenever somebody would ask when I was going to quit, I'd flippantly reply, "Everybody quits someday." But I guess deep down I really did want to quit, just didn't want to go through all the withdrawal pangs.

So let's see. Since I began vaping, I've put on 5-6 pounds and developed morning nausea, moderate to severe. Could it be that I'm actually taking in less nicotine this way -- since I no longer have to run out and grab a ciggie every chance I get -- or something in the PV instead? I suppose I might know more once my other units arrive, but has anyone else experienced nausea? Do I need to switch to a higher-strength cartridge?

    Thanks,

    ~~Cheryl

Not sure what's causing the sickness, however, I have to be careful with the BRAND of juice I buy. I purchased a bottle of juice about a month ago and got the screaming poops after using the product for 1 day. I know it was the juice because I switched to another brand and it stopped. I tried the same brand again about a week later...same thing happened. Needless to say...that batch was thrown out.
I do hope you start feeling better...maybe you need to switch brands?? Just my opinion.

Does the nausea go away after you vape?

what strength nic are you vaping? It might even be that you're getting too much nic - I certainly find it's easier to overdose than to underdose - an analog lets ou know when you've had enough by running out of tobacco, but your ecig's going to keep dosing you until the battery or cart run out if you keep puffing.

No. This morning I finally ate a rice cake with a slice of cheese on it (will pick up some soda crackers today, which would have been better), and that seemed to help. But I know nicotine is a nausea suppressant, and one of the symptoms of withdrawal is nausea. I've been having quite a few withdrawal symptoms, actually, but the weight gain and nausea are the most bothersome.

My NCIG manual says nothing about using liquid, but I'm sure I'll wind up trying that sooner rather than later. I wonder if I should order some right away, or even check our local smoke shop to see if they might stock it.

I used to smoke ultra light ciggies, with a shallow inhale (didn't want to do too much damage to my lungs ). So I started with the low-strength cartridges. At first, I was still a little wary, so I probably didn't vape as much as I am now. Just a little puff here and there, gradually getting it to where I was drawing it in completely, since the shallow puffs were making my throat too dry. That helped my throat, but see, I'm also a tightwad, so I'll avoid changing the battery and cartridge until they're completely exhausted, and even then some. So about half the time, I'm actually getting little to no vapor. I should probably start changing the cartridge more often, which would give me a more satisfying vape, obviously, and maybe even keep my nicotine supply steady. It really doesn't feel like a nicotine OD, and besides, that wouldn't cause any weight gain...

As Granny stated above it isn't possible you are pregnant?

Excuse me asking bluntly but just checking, as with anything I suggest asking a physician before following any of our comments. Its always best to check with your doctor I am pretty sure I haven't heard of others with the problem you are describing.

I get ill when I vape higher nic amounts. Seems to happen more in the morning for me to. I was a menthol light smoker as well started off with lower doeses, now vape 24...I know if I do too much, I will get sick. Been trying to stay aroubnd the 16-18mg mark, but still over-vaping 6 or 11mg makes me sick. Can't wait to vape ZERO on regular basis

Sounds to me like too much nic for you...my 0.02
