    Default Burning in throat

Can someone explain to me what is going on and what might be causing this?

I have a Joye 510 for a few days now and love it.

I first used the prefill cartridges no problem. This is coming from someone who smokes Marlboro ultra lights so you would think I should be able to get away with using Low

I purchased first MVS 6 mg Marlboro 10ml thinking this should work for me

It did nothing to crave my nicotine addiction in fact, I did not like the taste at all.

I did some reveiws and went for the big guns instead, probably a stupid move but oh well.

I purchased MVS Mocha Lite 24 mg, and E-smokey Treat Watermelon 36 mg

I got the MVS Mocha Lite 24 mg yesterday and E-smokey Watermelon today

    First off both taste great.

I smoked the Mocha lite all day yesterday, and while it filled my nicotine addiction and gave me a great throat hit, when i was not even smoking it continuosly kept this burning in the back of my throat that just would not go away for hours. I even got some heartburn.

I figured it was the strength of the nicotine.

Well today I got the E-smokey Watermelon at 36 mg and been smoking it all day and it tastes awesome and been vaping it most of the day...not chain just my normal vaping habits. And i am not getting any of those burning feelings in the back of my throat at all.

So my question is, do you think I am allergic to something in the MVS Mocha? It cannot be the nicotine right?

Is it safe for me to use the 36mg Watermelon if I am not use to such high nicotine? I dont want to OD, maybe I should order another watermelon in lower maybe 11 or 18?

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

My first thought was the nicotine, I tried quiting once with the commit lozenges and thought I was going to die the burning in my throat and down my esophogus was so horrible ( I immediately threw them out). Since you say you've done fine with a higher nic content then that can't be it. I also have the mocha lite and while I really like it I get the same burning throat after using it for awhile. I used it most of the day yesterday and then again this morning. Just to run a test I switched to a menthol with the same level and the throat burn is gone. I don't know what is in the mocha lite but it seems to me that there is a bit of a chocolately taste and I figure that must have dyes in it, so the only thing I can come up with is that since the mocha lite burns and it has sorta of a reddish tint and the menthol doesn't and it is clear than it is the red die. There is a big controversy over in the DIY liquid section and I've read that many of the folks there won't use any flavorings with dye in them, then there are the those that it doesn't bother and have had no problems at all with the dyes. However, after reading your post and realizing that although I really like the mocha lite I believe it has red dye in it and I think I'm going to opt for liquid that is clear from now on. I've been using the menthol all day and no burning, I used a pina colada all day Sunday and no burning, used the mocha lite (red dye) burning. So I guess no red dye is the rule for now, LOL..

You should dump it - inhaling dye can't be good for you!

Does drinking a coke make it go away 'for awhile'?

This might not answer your question, cause i have no idea, but I really think the nicotine in patches, gums, lozenges as well as e-cigs is really diff then the nic in cigarettes. The patch and gums has a very low low nicotine content, yet some people get such reactions from it, Skipped heart beats dizziness etc. yet they can smoke 3 packs a day and feel nothing. There is something about that artificial pharma nicotine that is different then the real thing i believe.

I have something similar. It's less of a burn and more of an itch, and really only when I try to go to sleep since that's theo nly time I don't have a glass of coke or water in my hand....

I feel like I have a coating of something on my throat... ubt it might have been I always did and didn't feel it because of all the other stuff in analogs suppressing the sensation?

Incorrect. I think it very possible that this is exactly what is happening. I am simply unable to test the hypothesis until I get something in VG... Or quit vaping.
