Default Doctor says my lungs are clear!

For the first time in more years than I can count, I visited my doctor yesterday (routine visit) and she said my lungs sound clear. What I've been hearing for years is that they sound like they're "full of trash." I showed her my e-cig. She had never seen one, and asked me to demonstrate how it works. She was fascinated and excited that it has helped me stop smoking analogs. Me, one of the most dedicated smokers you can imagine.

My husband was also seeing the doctor, because he has COPD and now has pneumonia. She actually strongly recommended the e-cig for him since he's never been able to quit analogs. I was so excited, but at the same time so frustrated. She obviously wasn't aware of the controversy with the FDA. She was totally open to the idea that the e-cig was, at the very least, a less harmful way to deal with analog addiction. Too bad the big shots in Washington aren't so willing to listen.

I think if there are people here who have yet to make the switch to e-cig could go get not only a check up but an xray of their lungs prior to switching then get one 6 months later, that would be an perfect case study to use in defense to the FDA.

That is great new for yourself and my best to your husband. What got me interested in the Ecig was being hospitalized with pulmonary emolisms in my lungs, they even had to drain my lungs after the blodclots were broken apart. Since I have started using the Ecig my breathing has been much better and I don't get winded as quickly. They definately did change my life and while we might not know 100% what side effects they might have I would rather take my chance with them then putting 4000+ chemicals in my body.

    Thanks, everyone.

Rob, I agree 100%. It's too late for me to volunteer : but my husband would be the perfect candidate. I wish he was more receptive to the idea, but I hope once he gets over this pneumonia, he'll be ready to give it an honest try.

RAV, I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but very happy you found e-cigs. I really do think they are life savers.

I have actually had several xrays of the lungs plus cat scans, bone scan and PET scan right before I switched to Ecigs. I will be going in another 6 months for a xray and cat scan, I will definately have my doctor note any changes

So, maybe that happened to you for a reason, so you can be a testimony to others! Glad to hear you are doing better!
