Great read! I am a PG user and can say without a doubt.. I have been vaping for over 7 months, About 1 year ago my chest X Rays showed the start of COPD as explained by my DR ... My chest X Rays taken less than 1 month ago showed clear.. Yes My Dr had to take a second look and was amazed.. I feel that if I would have stopped smoking (cold turkey) my lungs would not be as clear as they are now.. so I do attribute it to vaping.. again I don't just vape I use Inhalers (Drews) Lung juice (I think there are other suppliers that offer juice with herbs also).. I can breath like I was 17 running the 2 mile dash.. no wheezing or coughing.. So in my case vaping has been very good... of course like smoking it is a individual thing not everyone smokes the same nor do they vape the same so studies would very widely after reading this thread I would also be inclined to believe that the PG also helped in the healing of my lungs, don't know but this is my case and the proof is in the X Rays

Nice to hear youtube. I am hoping that I will see improvements as well although I don't expect anything too astounding. Any improvement is a plus. Also, I don't want to be disappointed, so if I don't expect too much, that can't happen. I have read other encouraging posts such as yours. I was surprised that some people with things like COPD have seen big improvements in lung function. There is no cure for those kinds of lung problems, but it's starting to look like we may actually be able to breath easier. I will see and keep you all posted on my progress if any.

You mention Inhalers. I just want to confirm that you are refering to the Health eliquids that are available? Is Drews a company or the name of the ejuice? I would be interested to try this also. Can you post a link as to where you buy it? Thanks.

Thanks youtube. I see they are in the US. I'm in Canada and most US companies won't ship here. Have sent them an email concerning this.

So according to this that since I currently have a massive cold/flu at the moment. Smoking my e-cig could potentially help me recover faster? I also have a lot of fluid in my lungs and I heard that the vapor will drying agent. It drys the hell out of my mouth atleast. Could this help remove the liquid from my lungs or would this make it worse?

Hi knife. Who are you asking. We are not doctors here. Any experimentation you do is your perogative. We just report information we find. Have no idea if this would help you with your cold or flu. If you have fluid in your lungs, I sure hope you are seeing your doctor. Fluid in the lungs is not good. I wish you well and hope you feel better soon. Keep us posted on how you're doing. We're pretty much all guinea pigs where e smoking is concerned.

Knifesideleft, what the studies showed was that inhaling vaporized propylene glycol prevented the flu from triggering pneumonia. Some lung diseases result from viruses, such as swine (H1N1) flu. Some from bacterial infection. In the 1918 pandemic that killed millions around the world, it was a rapid decline to pneumonia that caused the vast majority of deaths. Flu can kill, true, but pneumonia is far deadlier. PG might stop that transition. No studies make claims that it will stop colds or viral flu illnesses.

Although this is in no way scientific. Since my post yesterday when my lung symptoms started I've gone very heavy on the pg. I was constantly coughing up small amounts of liquid and a neon like green mucous. Today though while I still have a fever my lungs have seemed to have cleared up for the most part. This is odd because when I get sick like this these symptoms tend to last 4 - 7 days without treatment. So while this could be totally my own bodys doing I would just like to thow it out there. Also I'd like to say I"ve only been sick twice this year compared to the usual 5-6 times.

Well there are clinical trials for lung transplant patients that are going on for aeresol administration of Cyclosporine via a nebulizer. I'll give you one guess as to what the suspension fluid is.
