So, I no longer use the nicotine juice, but I find that vaping still helps me relax. I haven't suffered withdrawal symptoms, but I didn't really expect that I would. I was using low nic juice and I was not a heavy vaper. I would suggest trying to cut back on the nic level gradually and you might be able to enjoy vaping without it. I would never go back to using the nic juice because I couldn't handle the back pain, seriously. Not worth it. I am curious if anyone else has had pain from vaping. Nicotine does have a physiological effect on the body. Maybe it's just cause I'm old, 54. Young people can do pretty much anything without feeling the consequences. Well, that is until they get old. Then all of that bad behavior kicks you in the ass.

i was at my doc yesterday and he knew about my e-cig and asked hows my not smoking? with a laugh, so i took out my SD and took a drag puffing out vapor saying i have not had a analog for two months.
he said sorry and my sleeplessness and higher pain level was from quitting cigarettes and gave me lunsta 3 and 5mg, and more vicodne, i am going for my surgery and said i want to stop the norco, he said i could die if i stop the vicodne cold, and to wait till after rehab to start on slowly dropping the drug...i am almost scared, of him just saying things without real knowlege and if he knows something maybe i`m in for some trouble with the drug dependence...
ya the bad behavior kicks but i`m trying to kick back...
SD with 901 lots, 801 often, and 510 some....AND now I am a TankDriver yeah!

Good luck with your surgery. I am always surprised at what we are capable of. I think you will do fine. I know that quitting some drugs cold turkey can make you very sick. So take the doc's advice and don't go cold turkey. Drink lots of water. Really, it helps.

ya i pee about every 15 minuets, getting afraid i`ll drop mye-cig in the bowl. so i have neck strap for the SD hehehe.
so your back pain level went down? with no e-cig or no nicotine?
my pain went up because i knew they were going to cut on my arm and over did things,
making L4-L5 hurt me more. the sleep thing i dont know, and it was not from e-cig because i used them the month before with higher nicotine level. so it might be a withdral symptom of nicotine.

Sorry to hear about your surgery. Hope you do just fine, I am sure you will. Try to think happy thoughts and get yourself in the strong state of mind, (you know, the I can do this no problem) state of mind.

I have always found that the prescription pain meds. are way too strong for me. One of them made me so loopy that when I looked down at my feet, they were at least 12 inches off the ground. I'm not sure what you were exactly saying, but I think you might think they are too strong too, or maybe you just want to get off them? You could consider cutting the pills into halfs or quarters, to find the exact amount you actually have to have to manage the pain. Then if you are able you could gradually decrease the amount yourself as you will know your own body and tolerances better than anyone, including the doctor. That is what I do. I also tell my doctor I do it. They dont seem to care and are kind of suprised that I have managed to figure that out by myself. Guess they are not use to someone with common sense, don't really know? I do know that I hate taking pills and even have problems trying to remember to take a vitamin in my busy active life.

I find it very disheartening that doctor's actually get a kick back from the manufacturer for prescribing medications. It just leaves it open for abuse in the name of $$$$$$. I'm not saying all doctor's do this, but obviously some do.

I wish the best of luck to you.

    Hey there Elphaba
We seem to have a lot in common..
I also have anxiety issues and iv always found a nice analog calms me right down.
Vaping isnt the same, but it does help.
And I have also developed some severe lower back pain, but this was way before vaping.
It was around the time I started smoking regularly.

So its very possible that the nicotine has this effect on us, and if you have any luck I would really like to hear about your experiences with the 0mg nic

That's what really counts. If vaping helped you come to this declaration, consider spreading the word. Congrats!

I have back pain regardless of nicotine usage... Herniated discs at L3 and L4 / L5 and S1. I take ibuprophen a lot!! I refuse to take narcotics.. doctors tried to get me on them and I refused. I ice my back every night, and take about 800 mg of ibuprophen per day (yeah stomach is starting to feel it, but my back is fine)

Ok well I think I have found my post mabey someone can help me . I have a wide based herniated disk (L5-S1), and also arthritis (L4-L5-S1). I have been in pain for over a year, the doctor has me on several meds including:Relafen,Skelaxin,Percocet, and darvocet.Little has helped so far and next week they want to do injections in my spine, so my question is has anyone had the injection do they help or is it a waste of money because I don't have insurance, because I could not carry the trays at dennys so I no longer have a job. Thanks guys I fear I have been falling into a deeper depression and have found little online about this saying only 50-50 chance it will help.
