The pain is only on the right side. It is a nagging pain. Feels like when I had pnumonia. I also have been vaping a rather strong solution. Probably about 24. I will try a lower concentration juice. Don't vape all day at work but alot all other times.
And the suggestion about not smoking anything to see if it gets better. That's why I started vaping, don't know how successful I will be with that. Pretty much hooked on the nic.

Like, it's on the right side, is it constant? Does it get worse when you take a deep breath, like at the fullest part? How old are you? (sorry, that does make a diff)- I agree that the doc should be figuring this out because there are some wicked things that could be causing this. Did you get a chest x-ray or cat scan of that lung? Did you really go to the doctor over this? this could be pretty serious, like a pulmonary embolus or fluid on the lung. If you haven't been to an ER or a doctor, stop reading the forums and go! If I had a pain like that and I knew I didn't bruise a rib I would be in the ER in a heartbeat.
Seems way unlikely to me to have anything to do with vaping.

In case it is indigestion
a) drink some soda and belch b) go back to a liquid that didn't irritate so much.
But all yr friends here are bound to say - consult yr doc too!

It's such a hard thing to make educated guesses about, labrat.
Here's a thread that ran through most of the arguments already.
Chest Pains?
But you know we'll all end up saying see a professional.

On the right side only. I'm 54. Mostly when I deeply breath in. I'm an old smoker, 40 years worth so this is not the first time. I have had similar pain in the past and attributed it to smoking analogs, but I have only had 5 analogs in the last 3 weeks and 3 were today. Thought they would help in my own warped mind.
I have been to the doc last week but this wasn't an issue then. Gonna go play golf this afternoon, if it is muscle pain it should show up then. Thanks for the concern, if this does not get better soon I will insist the doc look into it.

labrat,
Try Vegetable Glycerin based e-juice. I had basically the same problem until I switched. For some people PG will cause respiratory problems.
Vape on,

I had a bit of pain in my chest too, but it was because I was vaping and not smoking.... when you quit smoking, all that tar on the aveolar sacs has to come out along with the stuff lining the bronchioles and bronchus... if you are anything like me, you had to be coughing for a week or so after the stuff started to break up. I was coughing out black/brown stuff for about 3 weeks. I hope that's all it is. Also, I would switch to non pg and see if symptoms get better. Lay off the analogs, because they will just redeposit tar in your lungs and you will have to cough it out.
Also... you must get the doctor to take a look... agree with the RN up there... You said it felt like when you had pneumonia... might be that again or something else. A chest xray couldn't hurt.
Hope you get to feeling better labrat

im sorry to hear about that dawn, I wish you the best, thats terrible. Thats a very young age to have a heart attack. Was your problem congenial?

I have personally noticed that when I had respiratory inflamation, vaping was very harsh and I would cough. I just couldn't use the e-cig no matter how much I wanted to. Definitely go get a check-up from your doc, see if you can get a chest x-ray.

But for the last week I have had some really bad pain in my lungs. I tried to convince myself it was only muscle pain. Don't think it is thou.
My doctor didn't even know what it was was when I told him I was smoking an e cig. He did say "whatever gets you off cigarettes is fine." So now I am really stuck between a rock and a hard place. Pretty sure if I go back it will kill me. But is this new problem also gonna be detrimental to my health? Kinda just rambling now and have to try to resolve this in my own mind. Maybe "cold turkey".
Not gonna ask for advice or sympathy, just need to get this out and was wondering what others have experienced.
I stop in to
ecf everyday so I'll be reading but I am very depressed now.
****!

Did you get an xray...the only time I've had lung pain is with pneumonia. The only thing that will show that is an xray. So what exactly did the Doc say, if I may be so nosey, sorry..but pay attention to Steve, his points are right.
