Maybe the gurgle is making you feel like a junkie and freaking you out. I know that runs through my mind every time I get atty noise.

the gurgle does not affect me at all - when i have the symptoms then it is not psychosomatic in the least - absolutely for sure NOT - it is mild to extreme and not attenuated or enhanced by my disposition

i am wondering if some type of bad stuff is getting produced if the juice is heated too much or if i am extra sensitive to lactic acid being formed

so far today - by making sure i don't vape over heated ejuice - i have not had hardly any symptoms only very mild - and this is the first time in several days that i am able to say that

later i may experiment more and purposely let the liquid heat extra and see what happens - right now i am enjoying being able to vape without problems so i don't really want to try it - but i will eventually

since i was having some adverse effects from the ecigs - i started using a vaporizer made for using tobacco -

i started with a portable iolite and then got a cheap electric unit for using at home

I can totally relate to a lot of this. I have suffered major and sudden panic attacks all my life, but they seem to have gotten progressively worse in time. A lot of it is like a social phobia, agoraphobia, being in Wal-Mart (don't ask), but most of the time it seems my mind races too much, I get confused, and next thing you know, I am dizzy, my chest is tightened, and feel like I want to faint. A lot of it is brought on by stress or being under pressure. It definitely requires me to sit down wherever I'm at for fear I'm going to faint. I try to huddle to the nearest bench so I don't look like an idiot sitting on the floor of a mall. I have tried Celexa without any change, among a host of other meds. The only thing that has helped IMMENSELY is Xanax, and I'm afraid of acquiriing (if I don't already have it) Xanax addiction.

Anyway, fade out, fade in, before I even went to the doctor to be treated (late in life), I was pretty much a chain smoker (probably because I was a nervous person and it let me sit somewhere and relax with a cig). Anyway, I'm trying to taper myself off of Xanax because it seems like an awfully big crutch, is not so readily available (who knows if my doctor will want to keep me on it; my main doctor lets me have it, but my psyche won't, but I feel she doesn't really get it). Point is, I don't want to smoke again because I recently had a bout of the flu and my damned chest won't let me inhale a cigarette without being thrown into a coughing convulsion, but I feel I would use less Xanax if I mimicked the behavior that calmed me before, hence ordering my first e-cig. It's been about four months now and my cough (about twice a day) still lingers. I had been off cigarettes for months and yeah, I know, why start, but I feel it will help me not take as much medication since it's "as needed".

Hope I'm not rambling. New member, first post, lots to talk about.

    Default Panic sucks...

I too suffer from a mild case of GAD and a lot is stress and self induced....

I DID find however that when I vaped PG I had panic attacks..I definatley felt different when I inhaled PG, and it was with 0mg....oh and cankers without fail every time.

VG doesnt seem to do that to me. I do worry about VG and is it really safe for inhalation. However a buddy of mine was a heavy smoker, and is now a heavy vaper (he vapes VG) and he says his breathing has never been better since he switched.

Im also not convinced with all these flavorings that are available...I dunno, tobacco is bad, we know that, but when was there ever apple pie flavored Malboros (or duMauriers for us cannucks).

I think people over vape as well, more than when they smoked, but in cases like my friend, hes vaping along and loving it. Hes been at it for over a year.

I just try to be a concious vaper and be sparse with how much I do it a day and at a time...

Ive had this idea, we should start a thread/sub forum specifically about DR visits and have people tell their DRs about vaping, and then do their checkups/physicals with bloodwork/EKGs/Xrays etc and come back to the thread and share their results/stories...and then try keep it on goin for as long as possible and hopefully more an more people add to it so we arent waiting long in between visits and people for some data. Maybe we can build some solid information. you know 6 months ago your lung function was this, now its that. Obviously it cant be taken as end all fact, as there a few moving variables: PG vs VG users, strength of NIC and types of flavors, but by collecting and documenting we gain more data to support ideas or theory as examples such as: yes its common that PG users get more pannic attacks than VG or vice versa...or lung function steadily improving since you've made the swith over to ecigs etc.

    Thoughts?

just gonna throw in that I had panic attacks on the patch- they would wake me up at 4 in the morning and i would be close to hyerpventalating-

And I can make myself freak out if I know that my battery is getting low and I dont have another one charged- Its the 'I cant be with out a cig' situation- When I smoked I NEVER ran out of cigarettes- if I was down to a half a pack at 10 at night, and headed to bed- I would still go to the store simpley because I wouldnt be able to sleep for fear I would wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to sleep and smoke all my cigarettes before the stores opened.

That has been my biggest fear- is possibly running out of battery/juice etc. Matter of fact, I am fighting the urge to go to the store RIGHT now- I am waiting on my charger to get here- and have been nursing 2 510 titans since Friday at 1:30- Mail wont run until 1:30 monday and I KNOW the one I started at 6am yesterday will NOT last me through the rest of today- Its still working right now- and I leave in 4 hours anyway to go to church- BUT I am freaking out trying to keep myself from driving to the store that just opened at 6am- and I have not had an analog in days-

I had some anxiety issues with the PG e-cigs I was smoking. I wasn't sure it was related, but once I stopped I got better. And, I was still smoking 2-4 analogs a day trying to transition. I was also probably vaping too high (18mg)

So, now that I've gone a week and I'm back up to almost a PAD again, I really want to try the VG to see if it's any better. @mel_vin, what concerns you about the VG? Isn't it supposed to have fewer side effects?

I was told to check out the 100% VG in a lower dose from Alien Visions E-Juice to see if that's any better for me, or at least 50/50.

I really want to make the switch, but I don't want to go through the panic attack issue I had again. If anyone else has had better luck with the VG I'd love to hear stories.

If I smoke PAD light Marlboros, what should I switch to? 11mg or 6mg?

Also, could it be the flavors? I've tried fruits and carmels and such. Is the tobacco flavor less likely to cause a problem?

    Thanks,
    Christine

P.S. I notice on the Blu web site they say they're the only ones that manufacture in the US, however I'm hearing that's not such a great brand. I have a manual battery Joye 510 along with some other cheaper ones I've picked up around town. I didn't get a good result from the 510 but I'm not sure if I just didn't get the best juice.
