Stomach Hit? Does this happen to you?
I am still pretty new to vaping. The carts that came with my 901 were pretty blah, so I ordered some JC PG (medium) in various flavors, and I enjoyed it a lot! I wanted to try some new flavors, so I ordered some Chinese juice. (also in medium)
Every time I vape on the new Chinese juice, my stomach starts to feel awful! It feels just like I swallowed some chewing tobacco juice! (I actally tried using chewing tobacco for awhile when I was a teen and was hanging out with cowboys and cowgirls - so I know the feeling!)
When I switch back to the JC - no stomach problems.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Does anyone know the difference in the juice?
Thanks for your input.

Only when I eat Jalapenos.
It could possibly be the PG in the Chinese juice. You may be allergic to it.

I found that there was mild stomach irritation if I swallowed the juice. I also don't vape on a empty stomach. I have a theory about this. The vapor, unlike smoke, is likely to resilitify into a liquid form in the body and you may swallow a small percentage, which will enter the stomach. So I'd suggest not vaping on an empty stomach if you can help it.

Could there be a difference in type of PG used?
The Johnson Creek juice is PG, and so is the Chinese. The Chinese juice I was vaping is actually lower nicotine than the JC. I was vaping after eating (the best time for a satisfying vape!) ....so it still baffles me why the Chinese juice hurts my stomach and the JC does not. I wonder what the difference is? The Chinese does seem to have a stronger throat hit, and make a little more vapor.
...and I have no stomach problems after eating jalapenos! yum! yum!

Much of it also depends on how you inhale. If you like to pull the smoke into your mouth and then inhale a small amount of smoke is being sent to your stomach as well. It'll give you the hiccups and a stomachache.

You may want to consider trading someone your Chinese juice for the same amount of JC.
Jalapenos don't really hit my stomach too hard, but the next morning I sort of wish the water was a bit closer to the seat.

Yes, I vape the same way I was smoking analogs, Draw into the mouth, then inhale. I do the same with the JC and the Chinese. There must be a difference in the juice.

There is also the fact that new allergies can develop after prolonged exposure. Have you gone back to the JC at all since you received the chinese juice?
-
Yes, and when I just vape the JC, I have no stomach problems. I can vape it all day with no problems. When I try the Chinese again, I start having stomach problems right away.
One other thing I noticed.... when topping off, I sometimes get a little juice on my fingers - which I wash right off. The Chinese feels greasier than the JC.

I had that mild nausea stomach thing when I first started vaping. I was vaping TW juice (which I think is Chinese sourced). I subsequently discovered I have sensitivity to PG - not allergic reaction just dry mouth and throat and irritated sinuses. I switched to VG based juices which cured the PG sensitivity but also no longer wierd stomach.
I now soley vape JC NPG liquids and ECOpure liquids. There is very little choice for VG based liquids - I wish TW would make VG based (this would also let me know if it was the PG or chinese liquids that made my stomach funny).
Kula.
