I wont speak for him, but its happened to me twice, but ive learned my lesson.
How it happened? I have the 8084 style, and after refilling a cart, the mouthpiece "snaps" back onto the atomizer. Two times, while "snapping" the mouthpeice back on, a tiny splatter went into my eye. It burns for about 2 minutes then quickly stops burning. Of course I ran to the bathroom and rinsed my eye out alot, trying to avoid any possible blindness or death.
I now close my eyes when im "snapping".

As far as safety goes I switched from PG to VG and make my own liquids. Using the PG liquid i bought made me feel weird. Getting cramps, headaches, etc. The VG is much better. And produces nice vapor. I like knowing exactly whats going into my juice.

I'd LOVE to hear more about where you got the VG. I ordered a sampler kit of the REDUCED PG from Johnson Creek (some VG content)....but I have no clue where to get VG with good flavors as of yet.
It would also be enlightening to find out how to make your own juice.... hopefully with good nicotene content. The list & ratio of ingredients would be of extreme value.
I think you are doing a very good thing by mixing & using VG based juice.
I also wonder what kind of foam material is used in the carts for my VX2 from LiteCig. IF I could find out where to get the right foam, I'd very rarely ever need to buy any carts at all. I could just clean them out and reload them with new pieces of cut foam.
These are the things about vaping that interest me most right now...and I just started vaping. My consumption of analogs has been nearly non-existent and I couldn't be happier about it. I truly think vaping is the answer to my addiction to cigarettes.

I'm not a dainty. tissue type of person. If my cartridge overfills and flows down the side. I lick it off. If I spill it onto the coffee table, I pick it up with my finger and lick it off. Waste not, want not.
Paranoia makes me think. Makes me think I'll spike me up a batch of super Skoal with 24 mg for my big airplane trip next month

Doc, check out the DIY forum in Tips & Tricks. You can get VG at Amazon. For flavors there's Lorann Oils, Juicy Liquid and Liquidxpress. Juicy Liquid and Liquidxpress both sell PG, VG and various strength eliquid, as well. Liquidxpress has a page with good DIY instructions. You can buy poly filling at Walmart. People have come up with alternatives you can find in forum threads on cart stuffing.
Have fun!
