Forgot to mention...the coughing was annoying me because it wasn't allowing me to "enjoy" my vaping. I don't have what I would call a wheeze, but more like shortness of breath, like I can only take 3/4 of a breath. Only when I yawn could I manage a full breath. It's hard to explain. But if you have the same thing, you'll understand.

process of elimination dude!!! Start with your health\lungs... Make sure all is clear! then worry about what juice suits you... Had a similar experience when i got my first 510, but it only happened one night... I think it was because i was vaping it like a npro, and overwhelmed my lungs with vapor.. Good luck, and let us know how you make out |

I work in respiratory therapy and what you have discribed is an allergy. For whatever reason, your body decides it doesn't like the vapor. I agree with other posters. Eliminate wht it could be one thing at a time. Try VG, try a different flavor, try a different brand of cart. Do each one individually and give it some time but stop immediately if you think it is getting worse. What is happening is that your airway is reacting by going into a spasm and tightening up. That is what is causing the wheezing. What you are experiencing is exactly what happens to people with asthma.. There are so many variables that you have to start with the simple changes first. I can't imagine what could be more irritating than analog smoke.. How did we breath that in for so long??

All, thank you for your numerous responses and suggestions. For anyone having this problem I wanted to respond back with what happened today. I was still feeling quite poorly, hacking and wheezing if I tried to take a drag, so I stopped at Michaels and picked up some VG in their cake department. I cut down some 555 with about 25% vg, and voila, after a few attempts, I now appear to be able to tolerate the smoke. I think my respiratory tract is still a little tight from the reaction to the pg, so I will update in a day or two, smoking the pg/vg blend and giving myself time to adapt. For now, the mere cutting with vg seems to relieve the symptoms.... Thanks again, John |
