Mouth inhaling is taking in the vapor into your mouth THEN inhaling into your lungs - frequently this is exactly how most smoke as well.

BTW, if you have any trouble inhaling at first, your mouth will absorb the nicotine just fine while you figure out your best technique (and not have that nic fit)

Direct is just that - there's no "stop-over" in your mouth - directly into the lungs.

Draw into the mouth like you would a milkshake through a straw, then draw it into your lungs from your mouth. This cuts into the throat hit, softening it. I smoked that way so I vape that way. Some people draw direct into their lungs like it was a respirator. Throat hit is much harder that way.
Some times I draw into my mouth, then slowly push the vaper out of my mouth and inhale it with my nose. It makes the flavor of the vape more intense.

Oh! Almost forgot- don't "drag" on your ecig like a cigarette either - to much of a vacuum going on and could be quite harsh - instead let a small amount of air into your mouth while you are vaping - much smoother - it doesn't take too much getting used to.

Aka "French inhale" being able to control the vapor or smoke for that matter makes vaping that much more fun lol...

The way I see it... Vape how you vape, and slowly get yourself to learn the mouth inhale... And then try to get yourself to do it more often... And it will become routine in no time.... Good luck

I hadn't even considered the mouth inhale aspect of it till this. I've always direct inhaled, but as minor as it seems, after trying it, it cuts down just a bit on how frequent I hit it...interesting.

I believe (but i could be wrong) the the reason for this is because more nicotine is absorbed through the mouth than through the lungs... not sure where i read this. but like i said I might be wrong

(and ten points to me for sort of zombposting...)

I found it made a bit of a difference myself, and I would never have thought so. Also saw the recommendation that exhaling be thru the nose - I suppose there is yet more chance for absorption - however I have a hard time getting used to that

Vaping has the consequence of the fact that nicotine molecules are larger therefore better absorbed through the mouth and nasal cavity. By holding in your mouth inhailing and exhailing through the nose you get maximum nicotine absorption.

Of course you don't have to do that every hit. I vape only 1.2 and I will hold a hit every once in a whole on my mouth and after a normal smokin session I'm pretty buzzed
