Yeah, I definitely wasn't using that much! But like before, I stopped and today things are clearing up. It would be too much of a coincidence that it didn't have something to do with the glycerine. Maybe I just have some kind of allergy to it, but i don't care to keep using it to find out...

kate I have similar problems with VG and YES it can and does cause the glycerin to come out the other end. and talk about gawd awful stink lol.

I'm not a heavy eater. Many the OP isn't either?

I also get that glycerin crap in my nose, and if I'm tshooting carts/attys, etc, I'll cough up a wad of VG (i'm talking WAD) that was sitting in my back of my throat.

b/c VG is thicker, it tends to adhere to the mucous membranes much easier than PG.

quit using VG or use just a drop or two when you feel the need for some mega vapor and the symptoms disappear.

I have an aversion to PG, and it makes my throat super sore and my chest feel really tight, so had to switch to VG. Sure glad I'm not having these problems or I guess I'd be done too. That does sound like a sensitivity then. Something is creating lots of mucous. Only thing I can find online has to do with the binding of glycerin to fatty acids and triglycerides having to do with liver function. In fact glycerin is used in soaps and lotions for sensititive skin, toothpaste, etc., which is just weird. Doctor time.

I've tried and tried finding sources of Vegetable Glycerin, in other words, how it is made, and what ingredients.
Apparantly the sources can come from various plant forms, some say 'vegetable', others say 'made from palm oil' etc. etc.
so am thinking that some persons can have sensitivities to various things that would make VG unusable. Perhaps allergies to nuts (palm oil) etc. I know that would spur mucous over-production, sinuses, stomach, bowel, liver, etc. It may be that different brands may be acceptable, some not.
Do not have more time for searching right now, but perhaps someone may be able to come up with alternatives. I definitely cannot use PG, but my VG doesn't seem to bother me, as of now after a couple months of use.
Sometimes this can be a cummulative problem, ok at first into full blown aversion to a product.

Check the DIY threads, sometimes there's a good idea put forth!
