    Default eGo C Filters

I'm a 2 week newbie to vaping and I'm somewhat unusual in that I'm not using vaping to stop years of cigarette smoking because I had already quit for 3 years. Unfortunately I fell off the wagon and started periodically smoking again.

I could see where I was headed and decided to try vaping with the idea that it might be less harmful and maybe I could control the nic content.

Unfortunately I've developed a lot of the same symptoms as other new vapers. Dry/coated mouth and kidney pain are the two most noticeable. Not sure if my muscle/joint pain is being caused by vaping either.

As far as the unpleasant "coated mouth" from inhaling PG/VG, i've started vaping with a folded paper towel over my ego c's mouthpiece.

It does seem to reduce the coated feeling.

    Anyone else tried this?

I love the whole concept of vaping and the elegance and sophistication of many of the products but some of the side effects seem to much of a price to pay, especially if the vaping is helping to bring on kidney stones/pain.

My research is beginning to make me believe that vaping may not be for me.

Pity. I never get to have any fun.

Try drinking more liquids. You also may find an allergy involved with either PG or VG. Could also be something to do with the flavor(s) you're using.

As a follow-up to my original post, I'm a musician and I had a gig last night.

I left the house with plenty of juice to last the evening. When we went for our breaks I was vaping constantly and telling all my smoking buddies about the benefits of e-smokes.

Unfortunately I got home with severe kidney pain and still have it 15 hrs later.

I've done a lot of research and there does seem to be a correlation between vaping and kidney/renal pain.

It feels like i've been punched hard in both kidneys.

Drats I just got my Stardust cartomizers and eGo twist today along with new juice. FWIW the ego Twist and Stardusts are fantastically. Great TH and vapour production.

This industry is making dramatic leaps and bounds with the technology and the hardware. Kudos to all.

Unfortunately I may have to quit for a while. I hope I can stay off the reg-cigs.

I think I will be able to but I'll sure miss vaping. Aside from curbing my nic cravings (I was only using a 6mg mixture) I like the flavours and the process of inhaling/exhaling.

I also like being part of this forum and the somewhat subversive nature of our vaping habit.

Vaping dehydrates. Were you drinking enough fluids?

I have broken even, but I've stopped keeping track of spending

Hawkeye: Only 2 beers over 4 hrs, so no, I needed to drink more fluids.

I suffer from kidney stones and I don't think Kidney pain will be an issue for most vapers.

However, if you have a pre-existing kidney condition, vaping may exacerbate it.

Hope not, i've invested some cash and a lot of time into vaping over the past month.

I also enjoy vaping. A lot.

    Hope I can continue.

fyi,,alcohol triggers a chemical in the body that makes you urinate more then twice the amount of beer you intake.

i already know you are dehydrated

Thanks for input re drinking plenty of fluids.

I,d gladly give up beer if I could keep vaping.

    Very frustrating.
