So far so good for me. I've been vaping a bit over 2 weeks now, and the first day or so I felt very lethargic and confused. Didn't last too long. I had those throat spasms one day, but it hasn't happened since then so I don't think the two are related. My eyes have been dry. Guess it's the vapor we blow out getting into our eyes. I'm getting all the "stinkys" too..lol. My sense smell is much better, but I'm pretty sure it's not just because of that. My fiance has been vaping too, and his is awful! He made it well known here on the forum, so I'm sure you all have read it (dukeboy).

I've been thirsty and drinking more liquids too. It's because of the dry mouth. Milk seems to make it feel better. Oh, and vivid dreams too. I've been waking up in a panic more. It's probably due to quitting smoking and not from vaping. Overall, it's great! I'm still in the detox phase, but I'm feeling better daily!

    Default vivid dreams

vivid dreams was a side affect of the nicotine patch (even says so on thier warnings) especially if you slept with it on.... i too am finding vivid dreams with the ecig.... maybe its due to the more direct consumption of nic? or maybe too much nic??

I like the vivid dreams and so far they've been nice ones. Perhaps it deals with my mind set before going to sleep. Why? Probably is the nicotine delivery but I feel I don't get enough because I seem to vape a lot to curb the cravings.

One of the problems with a major lifestyle change, like quitting smoking or starting exercise or going on a new diet, is that any health woes that follow might be incorrectly attributed to a beneficial change. My shoulder pain turned out to be bursitis. Likely no relationship to a year of e-smoking. I probably injured it somehow (I'll never know how) and it began. I got a steroid shot into the shoulder and will do some rehab.

All is well in my e-smoking world now.

I agree. I have been reading a lot of info on the net about gout and the causes. Although high latic acid doesn't cause gout, it can prevent the budy from getting rid of enough uric acid due to the amount of latic acid that may or may not be in your system. In other words they are both fighting to see who will get out first. But regarless of that, I dont think it is the cause of my gout problem. I have put on a few extra pounds over the last few months and need some healthier eating habits (and exercise shhh).

The positves are too many to list from e-smoking. I honestly have had no side effects from e-smoking at all. No pains, headaches, ect.

In regards to the conversion of propylene Glycol to lactic acid in the body, how severe is this?

As a bodybuilder I'm a little concerned that this could affect me much more than someone who does not train as i do. As everyone knows it's lactic acid buid-up in your muscles that restricts you from lifting weights more i.e more reps at a given time!! Any enlightenment on this would be awesome?

    Thanks guy's!

E-cigs have me reading this forum constantly and all the hypochondria and paranoia has finally sent me into a panic attack.
Except I don't know if it's a panic attack. It could be some new forum of OD that I never knew about until reading this forum, the kind that lasts for days and ends up putting you in a hospital with no headache or nausea.
It could be the nicotine has finally blown out my heart.
It could be a reaction to one of the flavorings, or the PG, or the VG.

I think I'm going to have to have a real cigarette while I wait for the Xanax to kick in.

that is incredibly creepy. one of my good acquaintances from the the pub, a 50-something psychiatrist, also developed bursitis after quitting cigs. although, you haven't really quit tobacco completely.

i'm sure it is unrelated I just thought that was really odd...

I did ask the doc if bursitis was age-related, but he said it can happen to anyone following any injury. Most often, it goes away on its own. Mine lasted six months and I could no longer sleep through the night because of constant pain.
