Thank you for your response ZiaDollface. It makes me feel a bit better. I have some e-juice coming in at a lower strength hopefully that helps out. Would you happen to know if I could use the materiel in the pre-filled carts to wick the new e-juice in. The carts are for a Joye 510.

Yep - no problems with re-using carts. Just take the filler out, give it a rinse in warm water, pat it dry in some kitchen towel and leave open to the air to finish drying.

    Default Symptoms Probably from PG!

Many of the symptoms listed are IMO due to the low quality PG (Propylene glycol) based 'Made in China' liquids that nearly everyone sells. Most suppliers are trying to compete for price rather than quality.

Unless price is your highest priority (it seldom is), I recommend ECOpure KRYSTAL 36mg. It's an extremely high quality VG (vegetable glycerin) based liquid. You can dilute it with ECOmix (so a 50/50 blend would give you an 18mg e-liquid, but I prefer it straight. It's fantastic!

Intellicig-usa.com doesn't carry the KRYSTAL yet, so I get mine from the UK (intellicig.com).

No, I'm not an affiliate, and won't make a cent, even if you buy 100 gallons of it.

    Healthy vaping!

    Rick.

rickghouse, you bring up an interesting point - the quality/healthiness of the liquid we are smoking, and how to improve that.

I have looked at a lot of different sites that sell liquids and I've noticed wide fluctuations in price and strength, but there is very little mention of ingredients and I don't know what to believe as far as that goes anyway. Price is not an important factor to me, but strength is. In trying to quit cigarettes, tapering off of nicotine was important to me, so I wanted options for strength. But I can't really compare ingredients. How do any of us know what we're getting, and what is a more harmful ingredient than another without a biochem degree?

Easy: you buy from the suppiers who publish their ingredients and the lab tests they have had done on their liquids..... there are quite a few out there now who do this.

    EDIT: Here's a good place to start: E-liquid lab/toxicology reports (it's a Sticky thread in this sub-forum)

    Talking My symptoms

Let's see...It's been 40 days since I quit the analogs and switched to my e-cig. I'm a 46 year veteran smoker so I was really suprised at the ease of the switch. My symtoms include:

    1. Clean Breath
    2. Clean Clothes
    3. Clean Mouth
    4. No morning cough
    5. Inmproved lung function
    6. Skin clearing up
    7. No sense of isolation
    8. Better muscle response when I work out.
    9. Better blood coagulation when I cut myself
    10. Improved sense of taste and smell.
    11. My non-smoking friends are thrilled!
    12. Freedom, sweet freedom.
oh yeah...Better vision...I can read the small print better.

Gotta Love it...yes, there's an adjustment...it's just not that difficult!

I wonder quality is the issue with my e-cigs, then. It's been two or three days and I've noticed even when I'm vaping for the first or second time of the day, it feels like I've been smoking a pack. Today I had a feeling in my chest like it was full of mucus. I could feel it every time I breathed. Maybe the crap in my lungs is just loosening up?

I'm also concerned about how much nicotine I'm getting. I'm sure I haven't smoked the equivalent of a pack. I use the e-cig 6-7 times a day and usually take 8-10 puffs each time. I've already gone through 3 cartridges, so I'm either doing this wrong, or my cartridges don't have enough liquid in them.

I might get a new e-cig. This model has no contact information in it, no company name - nothing. I can't find anything on the internet about it, either. That kind of makes me nervous.

Thank God for PV's......And those FDA idiots say this should be illegal and we should just shut up and smoke a "normal" cigarette. Im glad your "side effects" are that awesome. I feel 100% better in every way too (still cant see the fine print..LOL) And no more stanky hair and clothes. That is the biggest plus for me since I work with the general public.

In my experience with e-cigs, you do get what you pay for. Cheap products usually dont perform as well or they die sooner than they should. spend a few extra bucks and buy from a reputable company. Also, certain models outperform others but its a matter of preference there. I originally bought a dse901 starter kit from e-smokeytreats.com and It was awesome and the customer service is GREAT. Phil and Mona are great people to work with and they stand behind their products. I vaped on that for months (of course I had to buy more atomisers cause they all die eventually, its just how it is no matter what model you use) but I recently got a Titan Mega 510 cause i sorta "outgrew" my 901. I wanted manual batteries that last longer and more vapor and I kinda wish I had gotten one of these to start with . Yesterday I vaped all day on one battery and Im not the occasional vaper...I hit it pretty often. Now thats my experience and there will be some people here that will say "thats BS, those batteries dont last that long..blah blah" Whatever, MINE did..so there!

I would however see a doctor before you spend more money on ecigs just in case you do have an allergy. I hawked up lots of crud from my lungs in the beginning which is normal but i didnt have any bad sensations in my chest.

Good Luck and Keep Researching this Forum. There is tons of information and plenty of places to ask questions. Once you post 15 posts you can go anywhere here in the forum and even start a thread if you need to.

4th day in. Having throat problems. It feels big. I think it's from the PG. Will this eventually go away? As well as the achy bones, and dry mouth?
