There have been several times that I have thought seriously about giving it up due to these side effects. I don't know what is causing it but I think I will try some VG juice and see if they get any better before I make a decision. I really like that I don't smell and that I have more energy but the sleeplessness is catching up with me and starting to make me feel bad. I appreciate that some of these issues have been covered in this forum. It has helped me understand better the effects of quitting analogs. I hope that I get these issues resolved. Please keep posting info on different juices and their effects. Thanks!
It sounds like you may be experiencing nicotine withdrawal to some degree. The coughing when vaping is something that some vapers have for a few days but then it goes away. (I never had it.)

Maybe switching to VG would help - or a mixture with some VG.

lmao, ya i almost puked on pineapple 36mg (company i bought it from doesnt matter)

dreamgazer: i have had some of the same symptoms as you..... heres what i think, your have more energy/not sleepy:= a huge drop in toxic chemicals in your system hence more energy/not sleepy. it will pass after while. the anxious resless feeling: i had it to when i went cold turkey from analogs, couldnt sit down, very figity...ect day 7 went back to analogs lol. had to be lack of nicotine = you may need to up your nicotine level.

since i started to vape: 3 weeks in
    THE BAD
    1. soar throat-mostly in the morning when waking up. will take note about water drinking
    2. just past day or so notice some pimples WTF lol usually i have none on my face. but just a few not like a outbreak.
3.sensitive tongue, maybe a few tongue blisters or whatever, prolly from the juice.... this is the one that bugs me lol.

i havent had any cough from the start or now is this bad? is that damn tar still in my lungs? damn it come out!!!!! smoked 12 yrs total, 2 packs a day for about 3 yrs

    THE GOOD
    1. dont smell like smoke.
    2. smell things better or for the worse = changing baby diapers really sux now
3.taste food a lil better so far seems to be getting better each day.
    4. can take deeper breathes
    5. dont have a wheeez or weird noise when i lay down at night and breath when going to bed anymore.
    6. first week or two... had a boost of energy to where sleeping was a discomfort.... wake up noon wouldnt go to bed until 4-6 am the next day, has since balanced out. and now just enjoy having more energy with a good sleep schedual.

i think alot of us including me, will nitpick at the slightest thing now, because we are trying something new... we will blame anything on the vaping. its like when you take your car in for repair, then when you get your car back you notice a scratch and blame the dealership, just because you didnt notice it before. or how you never see a red chevy truck, until you buy one... then they are everywhere lol. <--- (only things i could thing of ) all im saying is before you blame vaping for whatever your symptom(s) sit down and think of what else could cause it ect...

Well 2 days smoke free with my E-cig. I have noticed clearer breathing. I can breathe deeper. I can hold my breath for a minute without lips, eyes and face tingling after 30 seconds. It doesn't hurt anymore when I breath, move or lay down. My throat and voice box no longer hurts and throbs. I am on HRT and have noticed increased sex drive from the e-cig. Also felt a funny feeling like a ghost touched me right in the center of my forehead. I'm guessing thats my nicotine being satisfied. It made me giggle a lot. I can breath a lot easier through my nose. Had dry throat and mouth easily remidied with more fluid intake. I seem to be more sleepy than usual. Day 2 not sure if it's from vaping to much but i felt like i was breathing really shallow and my brain was floating. Sort of panicy feeling and dizzy, slurred speach, sort of spaced out. Also noticed increased confidence.

I'm seeing symptoms that aren't even in my body! My boyfriend is still a smoker because when the craving hits he'll be used to those dang analogs - kind of a why start what won't be finished attitude. HE STINKS! Of course, but in the absence of my second hand smoke HE snores less, looks over at the pack and decides to light one less, has more energy, sleeps deeper, has a better apetite, better mood; and the dog has more kisses for me. As for myself, I believe that my mouth and skin aren't as dry, and nothing compares to that one deep succulent full breath I used to almost be able to take and am now completely relaxed by. I may be having a few more little itches here and there, and only once - a minor case of anorgasmia. I am hoping that this mostly positive status remains after I seek out a vg juice because I don't do milk.

Oh yeah, I'm extremely giggly too! Especially when I'm laying down to go to sleep I sort of giggle in to a comfortable position like I just have tingles all over my body. I don't know if its psychological or physiological but I believe I may be done with Lexapro for good.

I have several autoimmune diseases! Definitely should have quit smoking years ago - but couldn't! Have the diarrhea problem ALWAYS due to having half intestines and gall bladder removed due to these diseases! Seemed to be a little worse when switching to the e-cigs (could just be me or could be the e-cigs, not sure - maybe I should try the VG) but the Vapor King e-cig is the ONLY thing where I have been successful when quitting - and I have tried EVERYTHING-gum, patches, laser therapy, hypnosis, pills, and even a nicotine inhaler prescribed by doctor (called Nicotrol Inhaler). This is the ONLY thing that has worked for me!!! So, if it means a few more trips to the bathroom, so be it (since I have that problem anyway!) It took me about a week to get off the analog cigs completely, (Made the mistake years ago of switching to the lowest tar and nicotine analog cigarette which just caused me to become a chain smoker!) so if you don't get off immediately don't panic! Because I was used to the lowest nicotine, I ordered the lowest nicotine in the e-cig. I'm probably getting less nicotine now - which may have been the reason it took me a week to get off the analogs! It was suggested to me (in this forum) that I would like the flavors better than the tobacco flavors. Stupid me, figured I NEEDED that tobacco flavor. The people on this forum were right and know what they are talking about!! My recommendation to anyone starting - forget the tobacco flavors and go with a flavor you like - you will find that you will want your e-cig more than your analog cigs!!! Plus, if you are going to do it - don't buy the cheapest - go for the entire package with everything included (will save you money in the long run) plus, gives you that incentive (because you spent the money) to really give them a serious try - even if it takes you awhile to get off the analogs. I tried a disposable first - and it was disgusting! Love my Vapor King and the flavors!!!!! You converted another person Steve and Mark! The videos on your website really helped me a lot when all this stuff arrived and I looked at it in confusion! Keep up the good work!!!! Now, we just have to keep the government from taking them away from us!!! I have been on FDA approved drugs that have killed people - so when people say to me "they are not FDA approved" I just laugh and tell them my horror stories!!!

Smile Info on Side Effects of Vaping

Thanks for the info on the side effects of vaping. I really want this to work so I am giving it my best effort. The achy joints have pretty much stopped. The coughing is some better. YEA! I am still smoking about 6 analogs a day. I upped to high mg with the BE(don't know the mg), but maybe I need to go higher. Sometimes I feel like I am getting nic and sometimes I don't. Kind of weird. Still having trouble sleeping. I don't want to go back to analogs and maybe that will keep me going thru this period of insomnia.

As for tightness of chest .. every other previous attempt I made to quit cigarettes resulted in cravings and moments of what can only be called panic attacks. I'd realize I couldn't have my old friend, the cigarette, and I'd start to feel a tightness in my chest, shortness of breath, loss of vision and balance to the point of almost blacking out.

I became like those stereotypical cartoon characters that "pant" when they can't have something they want! I panted and came to the edge of passing out.

I'm doing better staying off with the e-cig. I have cigarette cravings all the time, but so far have avoided panic attacks by using the e-cig, snus, or pipe. Keeps the demons in check, you understand.
I have read this thread and have had a lot of the symptoms described. I have a congenital enlarged heart (cardiomyapathy), so analogs are NOT an option. I also got one symptom, a horribly sore throat, that would NOT go away. I haven't had an analog since August 10th, when I got my 1st ecigs and learned to deal with symptoms.

The sore throat was the worst, so I asked a doctor about it. He said everyone's system is different and will react differently than others. We both checked about the PG (it is a known irritant; but then so is VG in pure form) and while neither of us will say allergy, I probably really sensitive to PG. So I learned to make my own all VG ejuice (I no longer get the tight chest anymore). I followed my philosophy concerning computer repair-If I can follow a recipe, I can do this (got through an associates degree in Computer Tech that way). Some of the mixing formulas out there end up with a higher nicotine content than they think. I got the racing heart thing on the 1st few, but already knew what that was. I have gone from 32mg to <16 mgs in less than a month. No more symptoms.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you are not sure, check it out. I asked a doctor and got a lot of help. Some of the symptoms given are symptoms of other medical problems that have nothing to do with ecigs and that analogs cover up. If you're not sure, check it out.
