I've never had severe dry throat, but my mouth gets a bit dry when vaping pure PG liquid. I use VG in my mix to remedy it, and it sees to do the trick for me.

You could easily have any number of alergic reactions to PG - I'd bring this up to your GP and see if there is a test he can run. It wouldn't hurt to get a referral to an Ears, Nose and Throat specialist.
As mentioned already, you could also just have a pre-existing cold or flu and the vapor is aggitating the issue. For the sake of your health, I'd put your PV down for a few days and (if you don't have a cold or flu to get over) see if the symptoms go away.
One more thought - since PVs don't get smaller, there is no sense of "consuming" it like you do with an analog. I always advise my new customers to take it slow to start with as you will tend to "over vape" because the product and concept is new. usually after a week or so, the novelty wears off and you go to vaping in a more normal fashion representative to your old smoking habits.
Of course I'm no doctor, but I did take one to a Holiday Inn Express one night...

Thanks all for the great advice. Webby, you made me laugh out loud, haha! Actually, I'm feeling much better now! I think you are right about adjusting to normal "smoking" habits after the new wears off. I know I am not ill, I think it was just "getting used" to the new substance I was inhaling. All is fine now![]()
i know the feeling. i drank so much water to moisten my mouth the first week and ended up having to go to the restroom every 10 mins and still had a dry throat.
I'm having the same problem. Thinking back, it didn't start until I was trying a different flavor. I'll go back to the original 2 I was vapping and see if the sore throat goes away.
Drink more fluids during this period. You are probably adjusting is all..
Gargle warm salt water. No kidding, a dentist will tell you when you are healing oral surgery, the salt water hydrates the mouth/throat and facilitates healing because it cleanses. Saline replaces the moisture lost. I'm thinking 1/2 tsp. to a cup of warm water? Google it and find out the best proportions. Also, as everyone else recommends drink water. Good, purified, reverse osmosis water has chlorine and fluoride removed and does more for your health & well being than anything else you can do. Learn to like it straight up to replace any soda or juice you might ordinarily drink and you eliminate empty calories and sugars. Artificial sweeteners are not a suitable substitute for sugar as they wreak havoc with your body's hunger/satiety signals and carbonation introduces acids & CO2 into your system. Caffeine in coffee, tea & soda dehydrates as a natural diurectic and ultimately dries you out. Water, water, water!
Water and Altoids.
Do the high end of what's recommended for your daily intake of water, the norm is anywhere from 8-12 cups of water.
0.5 ounces x Body Weight in Pounds = Daily Fluid Requirement in ounces
Now there's a positive to add to the arguement. Vaping sure gets a person to drink their daily intake.
I also carry around Hall's Defense. Nothing wrong with a little extra vitamin C.
