Sounds like these are pretty isolated incidents to me and hard to say if they weren't pre-existing conditions that were made worse or triggered with by vaping causing the dryness for you. I would try not to vape as much if it's causing problems. I have not had any issues like that since I stopped smoking and went to vaping full time but everyone is different, it could even be allergic reactions to PG.
The only thing I have seen different for me is if I touch my face while filling carts or with juice on my hands it can make it itch but as a rule I try not to do that or wear gloves when doing my cart fills.

Retired: Dragon, 510, Magnum Mod, KR808D-1. In Use: GreenCig, JuiceBox.

lol, lol lol ............... I keep coming back here just for the laughs. If you read thread, and retain what you read you might see that the blood was caused from sinus drying out due to vaping. The blood ran down into my lungs overnight and low and behold I coughed it out when i woke up. As I stated earlier having the heat on in the house during the winter does the same thing. I am not only still vaping, but using a laser mod that puts out 2x the vaper as my npro or 901. But you may be right LOL working in pest control 7 years ago may have dried my sinuses out , ( only when I vaped, 3x in a row with several days of smoking analogs in between with no blood) , anything but vaping since it doesnt bother you it must not bother anyone. or Or maybe it was that time 25 years ago when, my muffler leaked into my ford pinto...... hmmmm, so many years so many things that could have caused this besides what actually did.
I love vaping I have 2 complete npros, 4 complete 901s, and a laser mod that uses my 901 attys. I did not shut the heater off and die of exposure , in the winter, becasue it dried out my sinuses, and I am not going to quit vaping, and go back to analogs because vaping dried me out a little either.
I did post the post about going to the dr. , When I was mad. I said that earlier. My feelings were not hurt I was mad.

You know when I joined this forum, this thread was one of the first that I read. It concerned me, since I hadn't even tried vaping yet. A lot of people like me are looking for a healthier alternative. Posts like these tend to worry people about any possible side effects. Especially those of us who have serious lung diseases. Sorry schadoe, I always try to say positive things, but don't you think this topic is getting a bit old. I have read about your sinuses countless times. Yet you insist on vaping. Can we please change the subject? Have you seen your doctor yet? Please do if you haven't. And Please get a humidifier. I use Inhalers and the vaping doesn't dry my throat any where near as much as those. Since I started vaping my breathing has improved significantly. Even after only one day.

Hi Harvest. I've read most of the posts that have to do with health issues. I don't remember reading any that have the same problem as yours. We are not doctors, so please don't expect us to know all about the health issues. We just post what we experience. Some do have dry throats and some are sensitive to the PG. It is possible you might be one of those who is sensitive. Pg can be an irritant. Too bad you can't afford to see your doctor, as that would be the best thing. I would suggest you get some VG and see how that works for you. Some people can't use the PG and have successfully switched to VG. In case you don't know, VG is Vegetable Glycerin. Best wishes.

I SUGGEST ANY NEW VAPORERS DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND EXPECT TO COUGH UP GIANT BALLS OF PHLEM AND HACK A LIL DURING THE FIRST MONTH. THIS IS NORMAL SMOKING CESSATION SYMPTOMS. ALL THE GUNK BUILD UP FINALLY HAS A CHANCE TO FILTER OUT, CAUSING MOST SYMPTOMS. THE SORE THROAT IS BC UR THROAT IS USED TO SMOKE, NOT A WARM MIST. ANY CHANGES WILL RESULT IN A SORE THROAT BUT WILL NOT LAST LONG. YOUR BODY WILL START THANKING YOU FOR NOT SMOKING ABOUT A WEEK AFTER YOU QUIT AND THE NEXT MONTH OR TWO UR BODY WILL RID ITSELF OF ALL THE GUNK. THEN, ITS ALL SMOOTH SAILING...ERR..VAPING FROM THERE...(((DEEP BREATH IN---AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!))) FRESH AIR REALLY IS NICE, HUH?
Im proud of every single one of us for taking the plunge and doing "the undoable"...This is a journey we'll live to tell about...!

I am going to respond once again to this thread regarding my experiences.
I am well over 100 days into vaping. I suffered from a serious cough my first two weeks that led to a drying of my throat and slight hints of blood. I have no health insurance but am convinced these things can't be bad for you. The fears of bleeding have subsided as i no longer experience the symptoms noted in my earlier post. i attribute the issue to the drying of my throat due to a lack of liquid and a post nasal type drip combination that was further aggravated by the horrendous coughing (except for the tase and slight signs of blood, all are common symptoms of quitting cigarettes without the use of a e-cig).
I occasionally get a bit of dry throat from lack of drinking fluids and keeping my throat moisturized and also experience a build up of phlegm from time to time as well. I chalk that up to my body trying to moisturize itself and it goes away after a few days once i get back into the routine of religously drinking fluids.
I use a PG based liquid cut 30% with Vegetable Glycerin and have also use a pure VG based liquid. Neither made much of a difference in the dry throat issues. i guess it is just because i vape like a mad fiend.
Hope this info. helps. I had similar concerns at first and after some revisions to my vaping practices most of them have subsided.

I vaped like a fiend as well at first. Partly because it was a new toy and partly because it takes many more puffs to absorb the same amount of nicotine as a cigarette. So my mild sore throat kept getting worse. Similar to TheUltimateG, I reviewed my vaping practices as well and drank water more frequently... I increased the nicotine amount and restricted use of vaping as if it were a cigarette, thus vaping only every 2 hours for about 15 minutes. The sore throat went away shortly after.
While I never had any bloody phlem, I can say that you will go through a coughing bout after you quite. I never smoked more than a pack a day (usually less) so I suspect a heavier smoker will experience a greater amount of coughing as the lungs regenerate the cilia (tiny hairs): Why do we cough so much after we quit smoking?
Good luck!
