    Default Strange headache/pressure

Hi all, I have been vaping exclusively since July 25 and lately I have had a non-stop headache for about a week now. It feels like the back of my neck gets really tight and squeezes my head all the way up to my forehead. There are tons of sore spots on the back of my head. Also I feel like there is fluid buildup in my head somewhere, I feel like there is pressure inside my ears (this fluid in my head feeling comes and goes but the tightness is there pretty much non-stop). I know this pressure sounds like a tension headache. I am wondering if this is related to vaping or not. While I think I had similar tension in the past I definitely never felt the ear pressure. My sinuses feel a little bit sore too (on top of eyebrows) but nose is not stuffy.

Anybody else? I am vaping PG-based fluid but diluting it with pure VG.

I've been vaping exclusively since mar 16th of this year and have not had a single issue with anything. I stopped using analogs instantly. I think I was vaping more in the beginning until I found the right combination of strength and flavor for me. Some flavorings contain large amounts of oils which can clog atts and cause crystalization (like menthol analogs).

I'm vaping TW 36 unflav cut with VG (25 - 30%) and occasionally TW coffee (also 36 with the VG cut).

If you have sore spots on your head and feel like there's fluid buildup, maybe it's more than the vapeż Pressure headaches for long periods of time can be clues to other problems. I'd have it checked out. You could have migrains or an aneurysm coming on.

I think I know what you mean about the ear pressure. I searched the forum and found 3-4 people with the same issue. I keep hoping it is alergies or something. I can't connect it to a particular juice. Frustrating. I am taking sudafed and using sweet oil for some relief. It is better than it was. For awhile, it was a rushing sound with pain and I could hear my heartbeat in my ear.

I get the ear and head thing when I use too much nicotine (od). Any my neck gets tight/headache with any pg. Answer: vape a lower dose of all vg juice and see if it helps.........

I use to have a constant headache but after my doctor lowered my BP meds, it disappeared.
After, I vaped more and this brought one on again. This one was a bit different, more like a sinus headache. When I feel it coming on, I drink—and I mean a big drink, so I’m sure it’s dehydration.
In fact, anymore, I have a glass of something right next to me so I can sip, sip, sip.
To say the least, I get my daily quota of liquid.

I have experienced a bit of this myself and it all is from overly excited vaping. For me it is one of 3 things, all with a simple solution.

    1. Base of the neck headache and ear ringing - vaped to much of too high nicotine. Solution: vape less or lower the nicotine.

    2. Overall headache and a feeling of tiredness - dehydrated from vaping too much. Solution: Drink tons of water and have a couple pedialite popsicles (gatorade would probably work too).

    3. Pressure behind ears - vaping suction has created the same pressure that happens when you blow up balloons. Solution: yawn

Basically my body and mind are trying to get used to how to vape efficiently. I need to vape enough to keep the cravings for analogs at bay without overdoing the action or the nicotine. Just listen to your body and adjust based on what it is telling you.

All that being said, your particular experience may have nothing to do with vaping at all, especially if you have had tension headaches in the past. I find that my migraines present slightly differently each time I have one. What is interesting, is that since I quit smoking and started vaping, I am more aware of other issues with my body. I strongly believe that this is because the primary issue - smoking and related bad feelings (chest heaviness, breathing problems, coughing up junk) are all gone. Now I am dropping down to the next level of issues. In other words, all the crap with smoking kept me from focusing on other aspects of my health.

I am no doctor and don't pretend to diagnose anyone else. All of the above observations are based on my own experiences and resolutions.

^ Thanks for the tip, Phoenix. Yawning really does help w/ the ears. I tried it and they feel much better.

I have also been feeling a fluid-pressure sensation in my head (mostly my nose and ears). I am not prone to ear infections but lately I have had the sensation of pressure in the ears. It's most noticeable in the morning. I use 6mg carts but I have been practically chain-vaping in the last few hours before going to bed this last week or so.

I'm going to try to reduce the vape & if the earaches continue I'll go to the Dr.
