    Default Quick Health Related Question

I'm on day 7 no real cigs, and I have constant phlem in my throat. In the AM I am bringing up some pretty gnarly stuff, but as the day wears on, it gets less gross, but is still constant. I also have a general tightness in my throat lower down, almost like a sore throat on the outside. This normal for 1 week ?

Using JC and Liq Express, both are PG.

    Thanks all,

Did you stop smoking? I have had those exact symptoms in the past when I quit using Chantix or the patch. It has nothing to do with vaping most likely. Just your body ridding itself of the nasty stuff you were putting in there all those years....

    That is my experience anyway...

Yeah, no real cigs for 7 days. I warmed up to it, so the week before i probably only smoked about 2 packs total where I would normally smoke 7. Its kind of freaking me out, like maybe I have throat cancer or something. Creips !

I had the same thing for a while after I started vaping. Its not the vaping causing it. As others have stated its your body expelling all the nasty stuff thats been piling up while you were smoking. Mine stopped after a while, but I had a short relapse of it when I had a cigar the other day.
On the other hand you may want to keep an eye on it. If goes on for more than another week without getting any better or even gets worse than it may be a sign that you are allergic to PG. Its rare, but some people are. If in another 2 weeks it hasnt gotten any better, you may wanna try some VG or Non-PG juice.

As the cilia in your lungs are able to do their job again, they will bring up the gunk that's been in your lungs. You notice a decrease in the amount soon. Also, since PG is a desicant, you need to be sure and get enough water. That's water, not coffee or colas which also have diuretic properties. I had a sore throat at first, until I starting making sure I drank at least a quart of water a day in addition to other liquid intake.

drink plenty of water... especially for 20 mins after and during your vape sessions. and you should be good. moved to health and safety area.
