thank you for the info. hope there's more to come. still not enough data for my taste, but i could care less. compared to what i was smoking (pack and a half a day of winston lights) this stuff is like health food.

I personally don't think I'm that addicted to nicotine... But my vape has definitely made it easier to quit. I was only a half pack a day smoker at most... and at home on the weekends I'd smoke even less because no one in my house smokes.
What I find interesting though is one way of telling how addicted to nic you are is the how long after you wake up before you have your first cig.
People that are majorly addicted usually light up before their feet hit the floor.... I myself could go until the afternoon before the cravings would hit.
Apparently theres a study that show people who light up first thing in the morning will have blood/nicotine levels several times higher than those that wait a few hours.... even regardless of how many smokes they have throughout the rest of the day.
Just goes to show nicotine addiction is a complex issue.
Smoke free since 2/7/10
Stuff: Prodigy V2, Protege V1.1, Little Sister variable volt

Our e-juice is probably to acid for the lungs to absorb and we don't get as much nicotine as we think we do by mouth.
Nicotine is Basic not Acidic

Well i started with pg , and it will give me shortness pf breath, lungeache, and stomach pain so i switched to VG, not as much flavor but more vapor, so far no more shortness of breath, and my lungs wont hurt.

Dr Loi, could you elaborate on that portion of your response? Are you saying the nicotine could be the cause of upper resp issues rather than the PG or VG?
Nevermind, Didn't realize how old this thread was.

People have compared the two liquids and broken it down into chemistry. I know nothing of chemsitry myself but the 2 liquids are similar from what I remember.
I can say from personal expirence that I dont feel good after I use PG. Im also not going to chalk it up as an alergy either. I flat out feel like .... when I use it. Headache, slightly nausiated, and without fail get at least 1 canker sore when I use it.
VG doesnt seem to do a thing to me, so I like it. For me, this is my reason for not going back to cigarettes. I use my c-cig sparingly, mainly on weekends or out with friends that happen to smoke. I can join in on the ritual and not get hooked, and for this reason I am happy.

" absorption of nicotine in eliquid:
I read somewhere that the vapor is not absorbed in the lungs, as in a cigarette, but only absorbed in the mouth and nasal passages. Can this be right ?? "
As for me, I get too excited and can't wait so I absorb mine on my lips and fingers

You make a good point. I was able to quit cigarettes very easily, I would go all 6 hours into my day before smoking my first analog. My roommate would smoke before he got out of bed. I would have to admit he smoked more daily and by generic conclusion, probably is more addicted to nicotine vs. me. He would also probably have a harder time quitting than someone like myself.
I have done 0 research on how genetics play into what percentage/levels of nicotine are absorbed by different people. I want to guess it is much like everything else, genetics will have a say on how chemicals effects people on the individual level. For example, after a period of no drinking, I get drunk off one beer, another friend takes 2-3 (Both weigh close to 140 but I am 0.5" taller). I have a lack of a enzyme in my blood that breaks it down thanks to genetics.
So far what I have read on the internets, I doubt there is a difinitive answer to how nictine is absorbed by everyone. I assume it is more based on the individual. There are so many factors the only conclusion that makes sense to me is it is different for everyone. Example factors: how and if using a filter, strength of drag, how one makes a drag, how long one holds it in, ppm of nicotine in vapor/smoke, the "filler" of the smoke/vapor, one's genetics, one's quality of lungs and levels if foreign material, and probably many more given the time to write them all down.
