I tried patches. I used the highest dose and still smoked a pack of cigarettes per day while using them. Needless to say, in order to get my nicotine level back to normal, I gave up the patches. The gum was useless. I never felt that they satisfied my nicotine craving at all and it tasted terrible.
This is the second week I've been using e-cigarettes. Almost immediately, the first week, I could smell things ... good and bad ... again. Since I've been smoking since I was 16, I haven't had a normal sense of smell for a long time.
I also noticed the stuffiness of my sinuses was gone. I can breathe through my nose. My lungs feel fine.
I'm still smoking about 3 analogs per day (was 2 packs a day) and am pretty sure I will give those up too eventually. They taste pretty crappy in comparison to the vapor I'm smoking and they burn my throat.
I don't seem to be sleeping as well and have more energy. That's about it for the first two weeks.
I'm loving e-cigarettes and am using a Marlboro/USA Mix combined with Coca Cola and Cherry for a delicious tobacco flavor with a refreshing Cherry Coke aftertaste.

Well, Ive been vaping now for 3 months, no analogues, dont miss 'em. ok, so that's all great, smoked for 40+ years. went for my yearly check up, and my blood pressure was 160/100!!!!!! holy crap! ive been on BP meds for years and monitored it often at 120/70. Nicotine is a known vaso constrictor, and I WAS vaping 36mg. cut that to 24 and got on another BP med. Please monitor your BP, esp. us older Vapers........let me know.
