Hi everyone! I ordered a 510 kit from health-cabin a few weeks ago and I believe I'm allergic to PG. I've noticed the more I smoke my 510 within a few puffs my chest gets tight and and i start wheezing after a few minutes. The wheezing continues for about an hour or so. I don't have asthma but it feels like what other people have described as an asthma attack. I didn't have this type of reaction at first. It started during the second week of use. Anyways I've ordered some ecopure from cignot. I really hope the VG works out. I've done some searching and it seems like most reactions involve chest pain. Has anyone else experienced this type of reaction? |

Peter, it very well could be an allergic attack. Of course, don't keep vaping that liquid (which I'm sure you're not). It sounds like an acquired sensitization. Which can happen. But since it happened pretty fast, it's possible it's something else. I would not consider it a certainty, that propylene glycol (PG) is causing the problem. Have you tried different "flavors", or stayed on the same one, from health-cabin? Without knowing anything else, I'd be more inclined to say it's the flavors, not the PG. It also might be that's it's not the PG per se, but something that got in health cabin's PG. It could even be something to do with your atomizer, filter, whatever, maybe - if something weird got into your set-up. So yes, try glycerine base. But also I'd say, try some PG-base and flavor from someone entirely different. If you email them and they have good customer support, they should be willing to tell a potential allergy sufferer, who they get their stuff from. Maybe try a different 510 with everything the same, to rule out something weird in your hardware - get it all from some truly other source (not just some re-seller of the same thing). Of course, only buy small amounts of stuff, until you can figure out what's going on. I hope this helps, RK |

I think thata eco pure might be the right idea and of course Cignot. Either way you do it...be careful. It'd be a real downer to get off cowboy killers only to have the cure hurt you. |

Oh yeal, PG and VG are probably in a lot of the foods you eat, if you can't eat or drink some types of regular foods, you might look at their label and see what's in them. You might post it here, some of these guys are chemist types.

oldtech, ecigs are not a cure-all. they stop lung problems, but don't stop heart problems. Peter, experiment, but be careful. and be thankful: if you had a full blown allergy, it'd be so bad you'd be in the ER. |

Seems I had posted on the older server and it went poof. Cheap juice that I had was pg. I blamed my issue of itching skin like mad insane rip my face off itchy skin. Queezy gunna hurl stomache. Headache and dizzy. Did I mention insane all over itching? SORE throat like I was going to puke sensation. I tried a different PG no reaction. Straight vg nada Straight pg vg mix. reduced pg nic vg pg nic vg ecopure Krystal yep the 36 mg clear. Flavored juices flavored reduced pg and also vg... All of the above no reactions. I go back to the juice that caused the issue, BOOM 2-3 pulls back to wanting to pop benedryl and praying for death. I think I narrowed it down to either ethyl maltol or linalool, could be an unknown possible bad juices in and of themselves. I do not want to knock suppliers, nor will I. I just think it is a bad batch from where they get it with little or no quality control. A few of the no reaction juices I have noticed I did a bit of itchy tips of the ear, but that was from monster vape sessions. HOURS AND HOURS of hard core vaping. My tests were ran on 2 attys, 2 carts. I vaped until it was flavorless blew out and started on another list item. The second atty was on my SB. I worked hard trying to pin this insanity itching down.

Dred, very cool, that's the sort of thing an allergy sufferer needs to know. Hang in there and thanks for helping Peter.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I had tried several different flavors of ejuice from health-cabin. All ended up having the same result. As someone suggested maybe my problem has something to do with their juice. I received my ecopure on Friday and I've been using it all weekend without any problems. Hopefully, the ecopure won't cause any issues.

FWIW, I used a new atomizer & cartridge when I started using the ecopure. I didn't want to cross contaminate with the atomizer I used with the PG juice.
