I am already taking the maximum dosage of Zegerid. I need to locate a doctor that can understand my issues and offer a solution. It's much too complicated to explain as there several other factors involved. My choices are really:
1. Continue to try and find a solution or
2. Return to cigarettes.
I don't want to give up so I'm going with #1 for now.

Maybe snus would be a way for you to get extra nicotine without upsetting your stomach.
If cigarettes didn't flare it up that bad, maybe snus won't either.

That might be worth a try. I'm not sure though if the method of absorbsion makes a difference. I have noticed issues with having too much contact with nic juice through my fingers while mixing and cutting juice. Now I wear latex gloves to reduce contact. It's very hard to prove or disprove things like this. Right now I have reached equaliberiam and the medication is keeping it at bay. I am vaping pretty close to 20mg juice now. I will keep trying to reduce the nic but it doesn't seem very hopeful. I'm too hard core an addict.

Well of late I'm also noticing fairly strong acid reflux problems. A couple of times I actually sat bolt upright in bed and had to get up and walk around to prevent the acid reflux choking me. I haven't needed to resort to buffers yet as the acid reflux does go away after a while. It could be related to the PG or juice strength or both as I vape between 18 and 24mg almost consistently but nausea I notice is a new thing. It could be related to supplementing with snuff and/or snus. Maybe I'm getting too much nic, but my pulse says not and I sleep easily. I suppose the answer is to increase the periods between using nicotine products and maybe cut out snus and snuff. Problem here is once my nic blood levels dip below a certain threshold it is a mother to get the nic levels up and stable again.
Cigarettes do that for you instantly. Vaping takes a much longer time...

I have been there! Be careful with that because it is possible to aspirate the acid from your stomach into your lungs. I had that happen to me twice a couple of years ago. I developed pneumonia both times. It is a horrible feeling when you aspirate the acid into your lungs. It causes the worst case of coughing you have ever experienced.
You should go see a doctor to get a diagnosis.
I agree about being tough to get the blood levels just right. I'm walking a fine line between too much Nic and not enough. Too much causes acid reflux, too little causes withdrawal symptoms to return.
I had an appointment with my GP today. He has changed my Meds hoping that we can get this under control.

Sorry to revive this thread, but it is interesting to read so many complaint about stomach pain and heartburn.
After months of successful vaping, I noticed that my usually easy to keep under control acid levels were going through the roof, so much so that I bit the bullet and am now taking Kapidex daily. I'm absolutely against being any sort of medication full time and believe more in holistic medicine, but like a ..... I must fulfill this nicotine addiction one way or another.
I have an upper GI in a 2 weeks, something I'm looking forward too. But its all likely a result of having vaped. It's a serious side-effect and I can't help but wonder that if we continue to smoke this device, are we putting ourselves in any unknown danger?
My plan is to quit altogether.

Ever try probiotics? For many years I was Tums' best customer, but since I switched over to using probiotics, my Tums consumption is down about 95%. I have noticed I've had to take a Tums ever now and then since I started vaping, but it's still not bad. I get mine at swansonvitamins.com.

I tried everything and as a medical animator for some years, I have a good knowledge of the digestive system. My gastro told me we don't need acid in the stomach, so nutralize it with PPI's, Codswallop in my opinion.
I include probiotics as a regular part of my diet, dietary enzymes, herbal remedies to balance PH, ginger, tumeric, I eat organic foods and small meals on a semi regular basis. I'm never full, but I bloat terribly easy.
What I suspect I have is IBS, but I will say without question (despite how much I wish it wasn't so) that the E-Cig is not good for people with pre-existing digestive issues. Neither are real cigarettes, but seeing as I'm hooked on nicotine I would like to find a balance.

Man, that blows, sorry to hear. I have also read about cases where there isn't enough acid in the stomach, so your system goes into overdrive to produce it. Supposely drinking a little vinegar is helpful in those instances, but I can't say from experience. Best of luck!
