i've experienced this too i'm going to wait it out and see if it goes away, as i'm new to vaping, i want to give my body a chance to adjust...

btw i do not have asthma or any other respitory problems. i'm usually short of breath due to my love affair w/ analogs, but the heaviness in my throat and chest is new. it could just be that i'm vaping quite heavily, more than i ever usually smoked...

i'm going to give this a chance, i do so want to be away from tobacco, but i do not want to quit smoking. or "smoking".

frequency for sure has something to do with it, also you might want to try a vegetable glycerine based e liquid. some people are allergic to the propylene glycol that is dominate in most liquids. PG also leaves a residue in your mouth and throat. So take a nice drink and swish after a smoke

Anyone having severe shortness of breath and heavy feeling in chest need to go to the doctor today, right now. Menthol may be the problem but it could be something more serious.

i will definitely look into it. its not "painful", and its mostly my throat, feels similar to when i used to wake up after a long night of partying and smoking.

i may have overdone it on the vaping yesterday. my boss was giving me a hard time so i was on that thing like white on rice.

I remember years ago hearing that if you smoked menthol cigs(analog) that yet another danger was getting menthol crystals in your lungs. Urban legend I hope. It didn't stop me then, and I use crystals in my juice now. I grate them with a teaspoon in a tea strainer and then just use a tweezer full in a small juice bottle (10ml?) and shake.

I've noticed the same shortness of breath and heaviness in chest the last few days...like Elle said...like used to feel after partying and smoking too many analogs. I could breathe so much better after a week or so off analogs. Now after over 2 months I feel almost worse than I did smoking. I do NOT use the menthol crystals, or even PS menthol very often, and not at all this week. Have been vaping a lot and using some higher nic vanilla. Hoping it's just this combination, but now that I really think about all the other new symptoms the last week or so ..I may be allergic to pg.

I must admit reading this thread is a little disheartening for a noob, maybe these are not as healthy as we all think they are.

I have not been vaping long enough to know yet but i am interested in knowing if when you guys switched from analogs to e-cigs did you feel an improvement in your health?

The e-liquid that we smoke seems to me to be a quite thick gloopy substance i wonder if when the vapor go's into out lungs it could revert to this stcky substance almost similar to the tar in an analog? What are your thoughts on this? After only vaping for a couple of days i dont want to get myself into something that makes you feel as bad as cigs, thats the main reason i started this.

When you have this feeling does it last long? Im more interested in the people that have these feelings without the menthol, as if it is just menthol that can be easily avoided.

    Cheers Lee.

Yes, Lee I did feel a huge improvement after being off the analogs and still do! The first couple of weeks were great. My main problems were from the PG and not wanting to believe I was allergic to it ! Vaped it all day yesterday w/o cutting with VG and there's no doubt now been a sick puppy!

I would be shocked if ecigs turn out to be even close to as dangerous as analogs. Guess that's something we all have to decide for ourselves, for the time being.

Congrats on 2nd day w/o the smelly smokes, before long the thought of one may just disgust youl
