I wanted to post an excerpt from an email (during one of my many varied conversations with Christian at JC) on the status of the lab testing for the mysterious "turning green" issue.

"At any rate, the lab we hired to do the tests came back and changed the completion date to 3/2/09 - which I felt to be ridiculous. So, we've hired someone else and knowing for a fact that it usually only takes about 3 weeks or so, it should be done by 2/8."

I offer this as an update and do not wish to debate others innuendo's, suspicion's or the like. I'm simply trying to keep others informed from the information that is passed on to me through those communiques.

VapeOn,
Greg

I just noticed that the "Original Tobacco" bottles (30 ml) I ordered had the liquid
in the built in dropper turn green. I had ordered a couple of other things, but
these were the only ones that did.

I wasn't a fan of the JC juice, but I love the bottles. I have been buying large bottles else ware and filling the JC amber bottles. I have had 2 different flavors go green. I think there is a reaction with the rubber on the dropper. I did hand wash all of the bottles before refilling them.

FYI the 2 bottles I got about a week or so ago shipped without the droppers inserted. Plain white non-child cap on the bottles. Came with a dropper, child-cap, mini bottle, etc in the baggie.

I just had a 30ml bottle of PG peach cobbler turn green on me today after owning it for nearly a month. It was the regular color, until I decided to use the dropper from the bottle to mix my own juice (as for some reason I can't find a dropper in ANY local stores). The JC turned green within an hour of my mixing. The contaminants were: Lorann apple flavor, usp grade glycerin, and possibly a bit of saliva because some part of me really wanted a drop of straight apple flavor on my tongue. I did rinse it lightly in regular tap water before re-inserting it in the JC bottle. Within an hour or less the contents of the bottle had turned a much greener hue. My guess is this has something to do with contamination, either from contact with carts, or some other source.

Hopefully we'll get some lab results soon *crosses fingers*

I ordered 2 sample packs, plus 2 flavors in 30 ml. -- a tobacco for hubby, and menthol/mint for me -- and we've had them a little over a month. (They came in the clear glass bottles.) Out of all of these bottles, none have turned green except for my menthol/mint, which I noticed over the weekend. It is 1/2 gone... and green or not, I'm still vaping away on it. Hopefully "I" won't turn green!

I think contamination could be a big issue regardless of what eventually is discovered. I think it would be wise to never let the dripper tip touch anything like the cartridge fluff, the mouthpiece, the atomizer housing, your fingers, other concoctions etc. Saliva is a seriously bacteria laden substance!!

(sorry, I couldn't resist)

There are still plenty of other theories to explore that make sense and I guess we'll be finding out soon what it was. It's still a good idea to keep bacteria at bay by exercising a little care.

I would also imagine "tap" water will introduce an assortment of contaminants as well as your flavour enhancers and glycerin's, including the fluoride and/or chlorine concoctions if your local water adds that.

I also want to mention that I have not heard back from Christian at JC yet regarding the lab results. Or on any of my other communications as of late.

I think they have been overwhelmed with their testing and release of the Kona juice. As well, I also think the influx of new interest and customer orders our devices have recently taken are exceeding all suppliers current set ups ability to meet the demands.

The minute I get any results (I'll keep harping him), I'll be sure to post the findings here.

Greg
