Default A Man with a Plan!

I'm a type 2 diabetic, and I'm not going to kid myself into thinking that vaping nicotine is in any way "safe" (not that anyone here's ever said or implied that)... nicotine is still a vasoconstrictor, and although the carcinogenic effects of the smoke are now gone, you're still trying to pump that thick, diabetic blood through narrowed vessels...

From the start, I've had a plan...

    1) Drop the analogs for the vapes first... this does 3 things for me: a) less or no $ spent on cigs means more $ for better food, cuz better food actually costs more money.
    b) getting rid of all that crap in my lungs will increase oxygen flow and, I'm thinking, energy levels.
    c) the PV itself will help with that oft overlooked component of smoking... oral addiction... hey, it's not ALL about the drug... I've tried to quit before, and the drug is the easy part... the oral addiction is what kills me... I start eating and gaining weight, etc...

    2) Exercise, exercise, exercise... I have found only 3 exercises I've ever liked to do in my life... sword-fighting (need a partner), sex (same problem) and weight-lifting... so it looks like weight-lifting is the winner by default! I bought one of them high-dollar, tension band systems last week, and it's just arrived... now lifting isn't the cardio activity recommended for weight loss, but in the beginning, it will be... lower weight at higher sets and reps with minimal breaking in between will have my fat butt huffing and puffing in no time...

    3) After a year of vaping, I'm hoping to be able to cut my nic level to zero... and at that point, if I still choose to vape, it will be an orally pleasurable, taste hobby for me to feed my oral addiction...

So basically, vaping is more of a transition potential for me than anything else... it seems to be the only way I can "quit smoking" without getting any fatter... hey, what's worse than trying to quit analogs? Quitting analogs AND dieting at the same time! And I really need to do both so I can attain my goal of dropping 40-50 lbs by this time next year... not to mention all them nasty, blood numbers they keep hitting me with...

    So that's the plan...

    And I'm the man...

    Man...

Being a diabetic I sure you already know this.

Nicotine inhibits the release of insulin from the pancreas, a hormone that is responsible for removing excess sugar from a person's blood. This leaves the smoker with sugar in his blood.High blood sugar acts as an appetite suppressant, which may be why smokers think their cigarettes reduce hunger.

But it is better to vape that smoking even though nicotine still affects diabetes.

Good luck on quitting smoking and vaping

Sounds like a plan to me.
Need encouragement---just post here and you'll get plenty.

I had a plan toO and, even though I wanted all a bit faster, I achieved it. Unfortuntely, I did gain. Now, I'm trying to drop it. Nicotine free though.

    GOOD LUCK.
