Propylene Glycol, and the Seasonal Flu/ H1N1 Virus

If you have been vaping steady with any amount of PG, and caught the Flu, or H1N1 Virus, Please post here. From my understanding PG wards off the chances of catching the Flu, or H1N1. Want to see the results here at the end of the flu season, on how true this may be. If favorable with the use of PG, I will try to have these studies documented, and passed on to the FDA.

I had considered the same thing myself. Seems PG, and to a lesser extent VG, kill lots of bugs. Increasing Vit-D is also evidently very effective against any flu strain.

As for the PG vaping, it seems logical that it does not have to be PG-only, but would still be effective with a VG-PG mix. In the beginning I switched to VG only because the PG juices I got gave me what seemed like classic PG allergy symptoms. But perhaps I would be ok with simply a low % of PG. The anti-bug properties of PG are very compelling!

Nice vid, BTW. Nice to see calm, accurate and articulate communication of our plight as vapers, and the lying reptiles that would rather we die a slow expensive death. Sometimes I wish I didn't think critically about matters like this...life can get lonely in this dumbed down sheep world. Keep spreading the word!!

Re PG VG, I wonder if it would help to vape them on alternate days. PG gives me a blocked nose, and VG may also give me problems (sore eyes).
    Just a thought,

How would people posting here if they catch H1N1 do anything to support the idea that PG helps ward off the flu? If people post, then you can make the case that PG doesn't do anything. If people don't, then you can make the case that they just didn't post it here. Not that I wouldn't be thrilled if PG had some positive medical effect, but I just can't see how anecdotal posting on a website does anything to establish it one way or the other.

I guess posting here beats no information at all.

At the same time, I doubt there would be much to it even if 100% failed to get the flue. PG kills airborne bacteria. Most of us catching the dreaded rhino virus does so because somebody coughs on our face...or we touch our dirty hands to our face around the nose-mouth-near the eyes.

On the other hand, I've heard them say it will kill the bacteria in the air around you.

    Ok, I'll bite

I began vaping in August, and I caught a really nasty (not swine) flu in September that had me nearly bedridden for a few days.

And (drumroll please...) I just caught swine flu from my niece.

I have no history of immune system problems or anything that would predispose me to catching these things any more than anyone else, and yet I still caught them. While vaping.

Sorry to (at least partially) disprove your theory...

    BTW, I use straight PG.

Personally, I feel that any reliable info is good info. I want results, not propaganda. I would be very interested in any positive or negative results in regards to vaping. I mean, come on people, as far as health concerns go, vaping is up against *SMOKING*. I don't think we would need or even want to hide any facts in this regard.

Been vaping since May this year. I'm a teacher who travels to several schools. Each of my schools has had outbreaks of swine flu. Haven't gotten so much as a cold since I've started vaping! *knock on wood

Almost everyone in my family caught swine flu about a month back, I didn't. Consequently, after reading the Time article, as well as someone in my family getting swine flu, I increased vaping. ALSO, had the same situation with one of our operations managers. Two of her sisters that she lives with caught swine flu, but she vapes and she didn not. She was also around them quite often as they are younger and she takes care of them. Not implying anything, just stating the case. Although I was happy I didn't catch swine and I would love to attribute it to vaping.

Ive gotten food poisoning, and strep throat, but no flu (swine or otherwise) Been vaping since June 2009

For my job, I visit hospitals/clinics by the dozens, daily, hope that helps...BTW-last time my VitD was checked, it was at 17 (very very low) but been using Lung Renewal Juice form NHaler daily along w/STRONG daily VitD liqui-tabs and HAVE been diagnosed with multiple, scattered, bilateral pulmonary nodules, hence, my reason for vaping/quitting cigs....Im on a watch n wait.....7mm is too small for needle biopsy or PET scan so monitoring every 4-6months by CTScan for growth...cross ur fingers for me.....really dont want it to be cancer.
