A cold with NO cough?!
I'm at the tail end of a cold right now and it's the first cold I've had since I quit smoking analogs and started vaping. So while I wasn't at all happy about getting a cold, I was curious to see if I would still end up with a cough like I usually do. Nope... No cough at all. I don't even remember the last time that happened. usually when I have a cold I'll get a cough by the third or fourth day that continues on for two weeks or so. I'm starting to think smoking really is bad and it's probably good that I quit
On the flip side, I'm wondering if my immune system is a bit weak because I just had a cold two months ago. Getting one again so soon is not typical for me. I wasn't expecting another one until at least January. Heh.
Smoke-free since Oct '09 thanks to ecigs!

Isn't it grand telsie?
In the past whenever I got a cold I had a horrific, spastic cough for several weeks. Of course continuing to smoke made the cough worse.
I think I've gotten about 3 or 4 colds since the 9 months I've been vaping and no cough at all following the cold.

I have only caught one since April, very surprising. I don't think I would have got it at all but I shared a cup of coffee with my wife while she had a bad one. I got it but it was very mild compared to what everyone else had. They usually follow a pattern for me, sore throat, head cold, lungs and cough each taking a week. I did cough for about two days and man it hurt, like ripping fiskhooks through my lungs. I guess it was because my lungs are still healing or don't have the tar coating on them anymore, but it was bad. On the bright side, i have only had it a little over a week and it is going away.

Good deal, telsie. I've been pretty healthy of late, but for years a simple head cold always ended with weeks long chest cold, congestion and a cough that seemed to last for a couple months. Gives me hope, with the onset of winter, that my next cold might stay in my head. Gotta have something in there, anyway

I haven't been sick with anything since about October '08, right before I started vaping. Not that I'm hoping to get a cold but I'm sure it will be better than the previous 14 years. Perhaps I won't be coughing up stuff that looks like seafood anymore.
Cheese graters could also be marketed and sold as sponge ruiners. Think about it.

Wow, this is interesting. I caught a cold 3 wks ago from my husband (nonsmoker). I proceeded to take my usual vit.c, zicam, cold-eze to try and ward off as much as I could as all my colds end up giving me bronchitis. Anyway, first two days were like the usual head cold, very little coughing. By day 5 I was about over it all. My husband on the other hand had extensive coughing for two weeks (still not over it yet) and felt pretty bad. I now think that the vaping helped me through this even tho I am not totally analog free.
