Bad Juice/Health Hazzards
I've been thinking of all the health hazzards of vaping and while I don't think they are even close to smoking I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten sick after vaping? I'm thinking that with all the recalls from china maybe I should buy just juice from the USA? Also one thing that may not ever happen but what if there were granules in the juice, would they then go into your lungs?
I just really need to quite smoking! All the chemicals in cigs is rediculous and now the carpet glue! I was going to use the chantix again ( I did quite for 6 mionths last year, but gained 30 lbs.) I also thought of the patches but don't k now if they will really work. I've done that lots too and have been somewhat successful, but it's pretty easy to just take the patch off and smoke if your having a crappy day.
So well vaping may be the answer! Any advice would be helpful!!
Thanks!

There are about a bagillionty posts of people worrying themselves silly about this stuff in the Health section. Knock yourself out:
Health and Medical Issues - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat
There are no "granules" in juice, I promise. Here are some images of what Chinese labs are like:
Chinese e-liquid manufacturing and sanitary conditions
Better than someone mixing juice in their garage here in the US, IMHO

There's not years and years of research on these things like there are analogs (regular cigs) but I can tell you with little scientific knowledge that vaping pg has to be a lot safer than smoking a cigarette. Propylene Glycol is found in a lot of medicines and is Generally Regarded as Safe (GRAS) by the FDA-not that I trust the FDA completely but PG is used in a lot of medicines including IV solutions. I even read on here that PG is in asthma inhalers. If it is safe for asthma patients, it can't be as bad as a cig. PG is also what produces "smoke" in the fog machines used at concerts, haunted houses and bars; however, some people have reported an allergic reaction to PG including sinus problems. If you experience an allergy to PG, you can use vegetable glycerine instead. Just make sure you use a brand like NOW or Wilton that is safe for ingestion.

I was a light smoker for over 10 years. I took chantix and quit in a week. Didn't smoke again for a year and a half. But I missed it too much and started again. Chantix works...if you want to quit. But if you don't....
I think this is a good alternative. I don't get the same rush from analogs, but the buzz lasts a lot longer. Until I notice something wrong, I will stick with this.
Just my opinion. As for the tainted products, with Chinese gov't executing the people caught doing this, the amount of tainted products has dropped. I haven't heard of another major incident and the Chinese gov't has a vested interest in restoring the reputation of it's products.
I personally am not worried about that possibility, considering the DEFINITE damage I was doing with analogs.

I can assure you that nobody has ever reported finding any granuals of any kind in any juice yet.
As far as the Chinese juice, what can anyone really tell you other than no one has reported any problems of being made sick by juice that other people can corroborate. If any such issues with juice were real, and corroborated by others, the news would spread on this forum like wildfire.
Some people do, however, find out they are allergic to PG so they have to use VG juice instead.

I really don't think you can only buy eliquid made in the USA. I think all of it is made in China.
According to everyone's health ecig have got to be at least 99.9% better than smoking. Of course it would be better for you not to do either.

There are a few that make juice in the US from start to finish, but only a few. There's just nothing that makes that any safer than what you order from China.

I have never seen it verified that ANY vendor does not at least start with nicotine juce from China, although I will say that I believe Johnson Creek does make everything from products sourced in the United States because that is what their website says.
And when I say verified I mean I have never seen anybody post a response to a direct inquiry from any vendor where that vendor has indicated that even their nicotine is made in the United States.
If anybody can correct me on this I would be pleased to hear it.
