Bloody nose?
I am prone to bloody noses in winter anyway, but haven't really had any until yesterday...the same day I started vaping! I don't think I'm vaping heavily, but for the record, 24mg Cherry. I have only topped-off once...and I worked all night (I vaped just a little at work...it was very busy), slept most of the day.
Has anyone had this problem since they began vaping?? Just curious...I really don't want this to be a symptom of vaping!

I think I went my entire life without a bloody nose until I moved to Arizona almost 6 years ago. Been a chronic problem ever since. Probably has more to do with the season but I haven't had one in at least a month. Started vaping a week ago and it hasn't caused one. So as far as I'm concerned, it's unlikely cause them or alter the frequency with which I get them.

Dear OMB,
Afraid I have bad news. . . My sinus get really dried out in the winter too. Often, I will get a bloody-ish nose and a headache. It is from the heating system. Sometimes, I have to hang my head over a steaming pot of water to rehydrate my head.
Anyway, I am experiencing the same problem. Vaping may be a factor. People on this forum have said that vaping causes dehydration.
I am not sure... I will wait with you for others to comment!

They say the PG can dehydrate you and to drink lots of water. When I started vaping I would get a small nosebleed from time to time. Still do on occasion but not as often. Guess it dries out the nasal passages. Like dry winter air.

Hi,
I'm not prone to nose bleeds, but after I started vaping I did notice a little blood when I'd blow my nose... mainly at night. Probably a side effect of the PG drying out the nasal cavity. It went away within about a week. You might try diluting your juice with a little VG and see if that helps.

Could also be a symptom of high blood pressure. I'm not a doctor, but I'd assume 24mg nicotine could spike your BP quite a bit. Especially when new to vaping.

Well, like I said...I am prone to bloody nose in winter anyway (dry heat, etc). But I also have been known to get high blood pressure from time-to-time. HBP can cause a bloody nose. I guess I need to see what my BP looks like before, during, and after vaping....just to be sure.
I SO want vaping to take me away from analogs!! I'm pretty sure the bloody nose coming with my beginning vaping is a coincidence, but I thought I'd see if bloody nose has been a problem when others have started vaping.
Thanks!

I thought people said their bp went down when they started vaping?

Yeah, I got 2 last week and I haven't had them in quite a while! Probably a combo of being in Vegas, drinking too much, vaping, dry air, and not drinking enough water!

Most often it does. My brothers Dr. figures it this way. My brother was a 3 pack a day smoker. His blood pressure was under control without meds (he was on them for a while). He wasn't as lucky as me so he was having to work at vaping and not smoking (maybe 4 or 5 a day). That caused stress which raised the bp. He has meds and checks his pressure frequently. No problem.
As for nose bleeds, I never had them in 50 years (I did have them often as a young child). A few weeks after starting to vape, I woke up from a nap with a bad one. I am on meds to thin the blood so it doesn't take much. Vaping will make your blood flow better (as opposed to analogs). Your sinuses will get better and if there is a weak place I guess it could allow blood to seep through from capillaries. Anyway I am not going to worry to much about 1 nosebleed.
