Do You Really Want to Quit Nic or is the E-Cig Just a "Healthy" Replacement? in Health and Medical Issues; I'd smoked for 11 years before I got my ecig last Saturday, and not even a week later I'm barely ...

I'd smoked for 11 years before I got my ecig last Saturday, and not even a week later I'm barely using the thing. I've tried to quit smoking before with no success, but the ecig really has helped me. I'm pretty sure I won't even need the ecig in a month or so.

I like nicotine. There, I said it. I LOVE nicotine. Everyone has addictions and habits. Its like caffeine, and plenty of upper-class business people rely on caffeine everyday. Used to be having a nice Marlboro Light with my beer, now its a nice vape with my beer. If they could make beer healthier I'd do that to.
E-cigs..... how bout them apples Marlboro?

Always knew I should quit but was never able to. I love nicotine and "smoking". Love the feeling of dragging the smoke in and bringing it down into my lungs then blowing it out.

While I never saw the e-cig as a quitting device I was hoping it would prove to be a substitute I could live with. Well, 7 months after starting I'm happy to say that since January I've had no desire for an anaolg cig at all. If they are proven to be bad for you I'm in the camp of "well, just how bad is bad?".

After all ~ they have to be better than analogs!

I am planning on vaping indefinitely. If it turns out e-cigs are really bad for you, I will stop.

I will not go back to analogs. It's e-cigs or nothing.

    Cool After a couple months...

After a couple months, I really want to cut back on the nic. I want to stop altogether. I hate the fact that the addiction is winning. I will be the winner in the end!

I've only been doing this for about two weeks. I never saw it as a method that would help me quit, I knew it would be a replacement.

I like it, I actually enjoy it more than my old smoking habit, and plan on making it a hobby.

Like another poster said, if it turns out they are really bad for you, I will quit those and NOT go back to analogs. (I'll quit only if I don't happen to be the person that PROVES they are really bad for you)

I only vape low nic right now, but that's from JC, and their low seems to be everyone elses "mild" so I guess I'm in the middle, but may go down to zero and just do this because, well, it's fun for me I guess.

I've assembled a regular chemistry-set of pipettes, dropper bottles, flavorings, etc. When I'm bored, I work on another recipe.
i agree! this has become my new hobby.. i am really enjoying it.. I might quit nicotine eventually but i really enjoy vaping!

I think you will find as time goes on, your mood will be evened out, your energy level will increase exponentially, and focus becomes easier, not perfect, but easier. Do a lot of deep resistance breathing, really firms up your breathing apperatus' increases lung volume (in through nose, out through the mouth pursed lips) and of course this is the key. Better oxygenation inproves brain function. PLUS: all the nasty parts of your cigarettes will be gone! Totally reverses all on the "bogged down, drained" feelings you may have had. I was a 3 pack a day smoker, with ADD. I cannot believe the benefits I've gotten back!

I marked "I'm happy vaping and have no intentions to quit" but I do hope to cut down on the nicotine.

My current goal is zero nic all the time. Once I reach and maintain that goal, I'll reexamine the situation.

I love vaping. My PV is my adult pacifier. I love the flavor and the action. If I can do it with little to no harmful effects, why stop?
