Oh my, toothpaste with a kick. That and a cup of coffee would sure jump start me in the morning! Thanks for the photos.

I love the toothpaste!

Personally I am waiting on Nico-foot beds for shoes. Imagine a delightful cushion that releases nicotine directly into the soles of your feet every time you step. Walking is already on the rise in the US - suddenly it would become the walking revolution. Reduce your carbon foot print, lessen your dependence on foreign oil, improve your health and get a little pick-me up all at the same time.

Call it Nico-Feet!

The funny thing is you can get all sorts of products like that with caffine. Caffinated shampoo, soap, lip balm, candy. I like the shampoo. But then, caffine isn't a demon drug.

Great idea, Quirky. You reckon I could soak my Dr. Scholl's with E-Liquid and end up smellin' like Magellen with a Marlboro habit?

Either that or I'd be the dude hopping down the street going, "oh, ow, ooo, ow." Contact dermatis.

For those who don't believe that:
http://www.thinkgeek.com/caffeine/all/ (bawls mints taste good but that's it (same for penguin mints), but the jolt gum is great - but don't touch umph, it's awful. Foosh is good caffeine-wise, but it takes ages to dissolve (sp?) in your mouth. The octane energy gel feels good but I doubt you really get caffeine from it. The breath spray is really spicy and has no real taste. Before you ask: Yes, I'll probably die because of a coffeine overdose )

It would be great to know if our dentists are seeing any improvement.
Well, I had my 6 month checkup and hygenist appointment just now and the prognosis is good

Firstly I'd like to apologise to anyone that already knows about this stuff.

Both the dentist and the hygenist were impressed with the device (I gave them a demo!!) I've never smoked in a dentist surgery before. It felt weird!!

Onto the good stuff... There has been a "significant improvement" to my teeth and gums/soft tissues. The plaque had also been reduced.

Now, the dentist did say that there was a distinct lack of saliva (which we all know here anyway) but that brings some additional problems in the form of more potential tooth decay. The saliva contains stuff that fights the stuff that causes the decay. Thankfully we can redress the balance as long as we follow a few simple rules:

-Chew sugar free gum (to promote more saliva)
-If you don't do it already, brushing twice a day is a MUST.
-Using a good mouthwash will also help fight the decay potential.
-Drink plenty of water.

So there you have it. Neither of them had heard about the e-cig before so I've pointed them in the direction of this forum for more information.

Thanks
Smokester!

Excellent Smokester! Thanks for giving us an update.

I've been chewing a lot more gum lately anyway, I hadn't realised that I was doing it to produce more saliva, but thinking about it - I was.

Smoking at the dentist is weird isn't it?
