    I'm a dentist, you shouldn't vape for 2 days post 3rd molar extraction due to suction making the sockets bleed and possibly leading to fibriolitic alveolitis or dry socket. That being said a manual switch and inhaling should be fine. Same reason for not rinsing to profusely and no straws too.
    hope this helps

    forgot to add, unless you had 4 soft tissue impactions, then the sites should be sutured over, in that case it would be difficult to pull the clots out. And yes the blood clots do infact eventually turn back into bone. And yes swelling is normal expecially if the procedure required bone to be removed.

    I presume as its the sucking that is harmful, you could go for lung inhalation instead? Rather than sucking into your mouth and then inhaling, cut out the middle man and just straight inhale, expect to get a little light headed first time you try this!

    @experts, would that be safe?

    I would assume if you had a manual switch it would be ok to either inhale like the post above or let your mouth fill up with vapor then inhale, yes to the above post do not create sucking with your mouth as it can cause dry socket. As to the nicotine on the wounds, its probably not the best thing for healing but the effects are probably pretty small.

    Krazy, I had 4 of wisdoms taken out last week, yes pain is not the word lol. Well its not that bad. But yes! I vaped perfectly fine, but definitley take light hits. and keep the pads over them for the 1st 2 days.. You don't want to rip out your sutures....Weird though, from taking light hits (just enough for the light to illuminate) 2 Atomizers went completley cold and are finished. ???

    I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out about a year and a half before i knew about vaping. The dentist gave me an option to take them out one at a time in different occasions, but i was like just take them all out. I want to be in pain only ONCE!! lol

    Anyways i was inhaling the cigarette smoke through my nose lol....or whatever i could. I just put on the gauze on the wound and bit down so that no nasties could get in there. A big part of the healing process is to keep the wound clean i guess.

    Like others have said i guess get the manual switch and just inhale the vapor thats coming out instead of sucking on it.

    best lucks to you

    Just got my top wisdom tooth pulled today and I've been worried about the dry socket too. I told myself I wouldn't vape for at least 24 hours, but that didn't last long. I've tried to be very careful and not draw too hard. I'm thinking about just getting some nic patches after reading so many bad stories about dry socket!

    Lol Riddle, you'll be fine as long as the sockets are covered by the pads, that I hoped you received. Just do NOT draw too hard

    I just had 2 wisdom teeth out...one took 1.5 hours. Vaping can really hurt because of the suction and jaw strain/muscle tension on an already aching jaw, considering I have been in constant pain for the past 10 days I would be seriously careful. I have vaped but ever so gently. PLEASE be careful, a dry socket would be a fate worse than death.
