Aaah! Ok, I'm getting some patches tomorrow..lol. I've been vaping quite a bit tonight too, but I don't want to risk it anymore.

Side note, did you guys have a stiff jaw after the extraction? I'm having a hard time opening my mouth. I wonder if it was where I was biting down so hard on that gauze for so long. This is nothing compared to the pain I was in before I got it out though!

I'm in hospital awaiting a triple bypass. They postponed my twice now but are keeping me in to try and manage the pain from my wisdom tooth extraction. The one side caused some trauma and the pain over the last 8 days has been extraordinary...jaw, temples, phantom tooth...the lot. One of the nurses here said after they had 3 out they couldn't open their jaw for weeks so a bit of stiffness sounds pretty normal. Quite a lot of pressure is put on the hinge of the jaw so it'll be sore.

    You have my sympathy.

I had all 4 of mine removed May 6th.

Funny story related to e-cigs, too. As I was first coming out of the haze of sedation, my doctor was actually discussing e-cigarettes with the nurse. She must've been a smoker because it almost sounded like he was trying to sell her on them. Anyhow, still sedated, I whipped my 801 out and exclaimed "I have one of those" and took a big draw before they could react. The nurse looked horrified when I blew out a big cloud of vapor. The doctor, probably fearing I was going to cause a dry socket while still on the table, grabbed it out of my hand. (none of mine required stitches, which mweant that the wounds were basically open at the time) I don't remember much after that, still woozy, but they asked my wife for a demo when she came back to see me. She said that neither the doctor or nurse had ever actually seen one, but that he had just read an article about them that morning!

Anyhow, he told her not to let me vape for the first 3 days, but after that I should be fine. She said he even congratulated me for quitting!

Anyhow, I was fine. Even cheated and used my lungs to pull after day 1.

Just had my wisdom teeth removed at like 2pm today. I am wanting to know if I use my LR 306 atty with drip tip and just let the vape enter my mouth and inhale (causing no suction whatsoever) will that be ok?

Healing from this process is TOUGH and you don't want to prolong it. I'd give up vaping for at least 3 days. If you aggrevate it, it will take much longer to heal and it's not worth it IMO.

Tea bags work well if you absolutely have to vape. Soak them in water and stick one one on each side keeping pressure while you suck. I know it's not advised but it worked for me when I was smoking and had mine pulled. I was told it can also help clotting if your having problems with that. I hope your feeling better.

Nicotine will kill your sockets. Sucking will pull out the healing tissue. Whenever you get surgery in your mouth do not use a straw. You could probably get away with it if you have only one stitched area, by putting your tongue on it. However if you have a full wisdom tooth removal, your tongue can't be in 4 places at once.

When I got a biopsy on my gums to determine the problem of striated tissue (white lines) on my boccal mucosa (gum between your cheek and that directly over your tooth), I had two localized stitches and was unable to smoke or use a straw, or drink soda for a week. It was hell. But you can do it. I managed it and I get bad nic cravings; not as often as packs a day smokers but probably worse when they come.

Well I guess I had to learn the hard way. Woke up this morning to two dry sockets and eyes full of tears. Damn, I had to go and vape.

    But it was so good.
