Well if it's anything like the much hyped Janty Stick it will be "Preorder Now" so we can get enough money to make it. Then there will be a "Cameo Problems" thread then a "Cameo Returns" thread then a "All Returns will be replaced with the Cameo V2" (which will be a Cameo V1 with a bit more glue in it)
Why don't you just concentrate on making the Kissbox Classic which is the only Janty Product which actually comes near to being a working Device ?

well, imagine the cameo beeing that device, and you are not there :P

i had problems with some devices, not only janty.
no e-cig currently availlable is perfect, maybe never will be.

but the people of janty are at least one factory based company that are innovative and try new things that others would not do, those stick only to cash proven devices.

what i hope is that janty will build a really longlasting atomizer, that even a hardcore vaper could not kill. i really would like to see it from them.

until then i will buy the next thing they drop off.... besides other nice stuff elsewhere.

Why don't you just concentrate on making the Kissbox Classic which is the only Janty Product which actually comes near to being a working Device ?

Or maybe it could be that Janty is trying not to repeat on past mistakes, by showing something before its ready, then having to change it due to circumstances that might not make them able to create it as intended, which then again makes people angry.

Only problem is, it seems, that by withholding the information for a bit yet, because they dont want to repeat this mistake, they are now also aggrevating people because they think its a repeat of the past.

So you see, theres no way to solve this. Even if we had posted the pics, some people would be angry about that - when we then 2 weeks later had to change it, again due to some stuff proving near impossible, or not cost-efficient enough for a market price to make.

And, i do believe, just to set the record straight, that the Jantystick IS a working device - and i do actually think its beat the kissbox in sales numbers, and also does so in performance. But, i guess you, like so many others, go by what you know and not by what you could imagine, - and that has some limits.

The reason we dont "Just concentrate on making another version of X product" is that we want to evolve. We want to try new things. We dont want to create only devices that NOW HAVE TWO BATTERIES! .. or OFFER DOUBLE POWER! .. we want to stretch the imagination, be innovative, have some fun with it; Do the things no one else does. Its a new world, and there are tons of options to explore - and we are trying our best to do so, while maintaining a viable business model.

Also, - the other option was to completely ignore the Cameo until we are ready. I mean it IS our product, we can do with it what we want; Still we chose to do a competition - we chose to lift the veil a bit - we then, sadly i agree, also had to close it again and withdraw a bit. But, - why be angry about that?

We did not promise you when it would come out; we did not promise you what it would be - we have not promised you anything, so how can you be SO disappointed in something you dont know what is?

Orginally, the Cameo wasn't supposed to come out until October so why not just wait? Why all of the hype, when it looks like the original time frame is when it will happen. It was just a ton of unncessary hype for the release to still be around October. But I am sure you weren't around for that either. That was announced in May or June.

reviews dont seem to link (ry4 for example has 4 reviews on main list but none when click on details)

also want to see more behind the scenes stuff too, like the desk and display case shots that scroll across the top currently

Or the other way of viewing it could be that this would have been a nice way to keep our customers up to date on what we are working on at the moment at Janty.

Ofcourse it does not look like that now when we had to pull back and keep the information, but as i stated many times before; That was not the intention when the competition was started.

I guess its just a textbook example of good intentions gone bad - for whatever reason.
