Unfortunately, that link doesn't work in my case. I have sealed manual batteries. And mine don't look like they are charging?

When I screw it into the charger, the battery LED doesn't flash at all, like a good battery does. The charger seems to acknowledge that it's in there - the light goes from green to red, but it never turns green again.
I've cleaned the battery threads, but this last one had only been used a couple times, so I know it wasn't dirty.
Sigh...

Kristin,

What is an OMG Kit?

(The reverse polarity is always a possibility.... but without knowing what an "OMG" is...)

It was a three piece model with an exposed atty I bought at the state fair - my first kit. It's a rebranded mini, 401 or 4081, I believe. I never got it confirmed, because I just gave up and bought us manual 510's. The batteries fit on 510 attys.

I think it's probably the same as the Smoke 51 Smoke Free and Smoking Everywhere, etc.

Someone else posted pics of his OMG brand here: Should most refill cartridges work with most brands?

hey the OMG ( DSE 103, M401) was at calxpo this summer, and i tried my 510 on it, it seemed to me that it made contact quicker on 510 atty. i felt i could turn it more after it seated, looked at them and without a caliper, thought the battery thread was shallower the 510 battery.
so maybe the center contact got pushed or twisted and a wire broke...or center pin shorted to outter (thread) pin.
you have a volt meter? does the led lite when you suck the atty side of the batt? blow from led end while checking thread end, should get something 3.7 good, 2.5< charge time, and nothing could mean broke wire or completly dead battery.
jtth(just trying to help)

Ok, I have to go back and re-read that a little closer, then. Thanks!

Can the inside connector of a manual battery get pushed back, as well? It there any way to pull it forward again, since it doesn't have the hole to fish into with a paper clip?

Is it ok to do that staple mod on the atty instead of the battery?

Yes! But if that's required then you'd have to do it to the charger too.. right?

Kirsten,
Sorry, I still have not been able to test the batts and charger. Seems both of my testers are at my boat and I'll not be there untill this weekend. Seems to me that even if the contacts were bent like some of the other posts suggest the manual batt should still blink like it needs a charge. As is mine does nothing since the incident. I'll let you know what I find ASAP.
